And, someone need to feedback to canon. Their bag is good, just that the design is a little.. ._.

1. I just leave the card inside. Is that alright?
2. I off the camera. Save battery.
3. I don't have a dry cabinet. But I do have a dry box. I got it from Harvey Norman. :)
1) I just leave it in the card
2) I just leave it.. as it is. Leave the habit of bringing spare batteries.
3) Got $$ dry cabi no $$ dry box

ya... battery drain sure will spoil the cam... frequent used will reduce drain ba... what i know is battery left for long duration without using will leak or drain...

but take out battery will not reset the setting meh?? now at work... no chance to test with cam at home...

Nope all the way i always take out. Setting still there. I'm also at work.

Thanks guys, i got a better understanding now. :)

Poor student, no choice.

Actually, saving up for a dry cabinet in the long run is a good thing to do. It really gives you peace of mind, and it's pretty much a one time thing; power consumption is extremely low. The most affordable one in the market is a Digi-Cabi 30L capacity cabinet, and goes for $118, and will easily fit all your gear. I believe you can find it at John 3:16, TK Foto and Carrefour.

Hmm, where got carrefour outlets?

Suntec, PS

I prefer the design of dry cabi 5 -6 years ago... The outer shell is more solid made of steel...
Nowadays all use aluminum

Looks like something I can consider. But that would mean another hole in my pocket. Since this 450D already burnt one in mine. >.<

Haha okay I'll take my camera out and play with it every few days then. The silica gel seems to be turning pink pretty fast.

In the long run it'll be less time consuming ( on the reheating gel part ). :)

If you keep opening your dry box, obviously the gel will be exposed to more moisture, which also means it turns colour faster.

The key is to just keep using your cam and you won't dump it in your dry box. Since you're having hols now, it's more of a reason to use your camera. :)
