I could be an 80 year old auntie for all you know.

Oh by the way, what's a lens hood for?

I got some noobie questions..

1. When i keep the camera, battery must take out, i know. Mem card?
2. When like go out for shoot, after shooting a scene, do you off your camera, or just leave it on, until your next shoot, maybe 20 mins-1 hr later?
3. Dry cabinet is a must?

1. I just leave the card inside. Is that alright?
2. I off the camera. Save battery.
3. I don't have a dry cabinet. But I do have a dry box. I got it from Harvey Norman. :)

I have no idea. I thought the main function of a dry cabinet is to keep moisture out. So if the function of a dry box is the same, it should be okay right?

i take out batteries, heard there's a drain if left inside.

should be the same, is there a dehumidifier in the dry box? I'm guessing it looks like a tupperware issit?

My dry box is using silica gel. Once it turns pink, you just put it in the oven to 'dry' it again. One bottle costs about five dollars. I think it's a much cheaper alternative cause I think a dry cabinet costs alot for me right now.

oh the old sch method lol. quite a hassle there.

ya... battery drain sure will spoil the cam... frequent used will reduce drain ba... what i know is battery left for long duration without using will leak or drain...

but take out battery will not reset the setting meh?? now at work... no chance to test with cam at home...
