i must say i have been damn unlucky to have dealt in first place with justin - he's a cheat that out of this world, i think he'll make more money telling stories professionally than taking photographs of people i swear. thats why he is probably selling credit cards for UOB now - the kind of a job that you can bluff someone into signing up and never having to follow up. that kind of work, Justin excels brilliantly.
thanks to Cedric and some other contacts i spoke with, i got myself some valuable information and really saw through the guy behind his plastic smiles and empty promises. yesterday, i tried contacting justin in the morning and afternoon and at night - called about 5 times? after which, i decided i will go pay mr yeo a surprise visit to his nice big house along east coast rd.
I did so, at about 1230AM after the disappointing brazil holland game.. i went down and before i went to his house, i called him one last time - never pick up, after which i tried contacting his gf - also never pick up, finally i contacted his mum. She picked up, and i asked her nicely if Justin was at home and told her I would like to return him his camera. lol..... next I told her that actually, I was already outside her house. So she told justin to go down. Shamefully, Justin had the cheek to tell me another one of his "3 year old kid trying to tell a lie" stories saying that he left his phone in the office and then he sent me a "message on facebook" and asked me why i went down to his house.
After which I wanted him to give me back my money, he told me that he had no cash now, he was seriously broke, and lost money in the photography studio he set up, his bank account was empty (asked me if i wanted to check), said he will pay me as soon as he got his pay.. wha the sameeee old stuff lah i tell you, hear until sian already. lol, he never runs out of excuses i swear.
I told him eh brother i tell you what lah, problems you have i also have. everyone also got problems i hope you understand. Now you owe me 2k you say you supposed to pass to me on thursday and then you drag and drag and give me excuses everytime? Like that how can? You no money i also no money, you owe money i also owe money. He gave me that pathetic "rescue me as if i'm useless and can't do anything" look and continued his routine of lies and then I squeezed him on the spot for a
written black and white contract that he would repay me back the SGD 2,031 by 17th July 1800hrs. He said ok, he went up to take his pen and a paper and came down from his house. I then told him i wanted to verify his IC - so he asked me if i didn't trust him and that i was already all the way down at his house, i told him i just didn't want any FURTHER complications. So he angrily went up to take his IC and come down again. He had a flare in acting, i must say. If all else fails in his life, he can try his luck at mediacorp.
So, the end result? Not exactly what I wanted but at least - I went home with a detailed IOU letter with all his IC details last night. I pity Justin for having to be so pathetic resorting to such self-undermining behavior thinking he can lie his way through. And i must be one of the unluckiest guys on this forums having to deal with such a loser.
I'ld seriously hate myself forever if i let this cheating piece of trash run away with my money. If he wants to further complicate the situation, i would return the favor and ask back the money from his mother or girlfriend or whoever else in his family. He needs to be a man and find the money that he owes to me, that i gave in cold hard cash out of mutual trust when he lied and misrepresented information to me on the very first day we met and dealt.
Meanwhile, looking on the bright side, i still have a 70% functional 5Dmk2 for personal use throughout the next few days till i receive a full final refund on 17th July. However, meanwhile I might still consider keeping the camera if bro fatigue can repair my USB port at a significantly lower price than CSC. They quoted me 792 (without warranty) and 495 (with warranty) [Another lesson: never screw up your USB, it will burn a hole in your pocket!]
