guys, this is getting out of control. alot of dirty laundry is washed and wow, i din't know this justin is such a fantastic guy!

i'm absolutely amazed!

maybe u guys should really consider legal action esp. pointblankshots! what he is doing is no different from cheating!

Posting in an epic thread!

Not really dirty laundry la. Since Paul's case is up for hearing, I might as well take this chance so that bros out there can help to look out if my portfolio is misused, if you recognized what's mine...:bsmilie: In fact, it's just one of the many cases of portfolio misrepresentation just that people escape with it, so long as the job is fine. In fact, I've come across many assistants who does these sort of things...

I do not want to proceed with any legal action because like all motor-bikers always says "Don't compete with a bicycle, it's only going to look stupider for the motor-biker"... I mean what's the point? The result would show after all, there's no light at the end of the tunnel of the photography skill sucks... but it this happens one more time, I'll spend a month of my time destroying him:)

Looks like Justin has taken down the website yesterday... I guess he's reading this thread after all... I'm sure it's not over yet... I haven't got over with a job taken away from me, right under my nose... Just like that.... Actually, I never imagine he would have dared taking the job away from me... Honestly, he never looked like he'll do this deed, I'll thought he'll be honest enough.... well, life goes on... I didn't lose much, but my other pal lost 3-4k and he's unable to get it back...

Paul, I suggest you don't pester the mum unless you have to. The mum is a pretty nice lady, and I think she doesn't know this is all happening, else she'll be broken...

Hi bro,

I understand where you're coming from - I will not involve the mum unless im really left without a choice. Anyway, i just sent the camera to David (nick: fatigue) for a check as he said he could try repair the USB without having to swap over a brand new motherboard. Hope to hear good news from him within the next 1-2 days. I might just keep the camera and gladly pay David for his service charge (which is significantly lower than CSC Singapore).

Just like to share with all anyway, Justin called me this afternoon trying to force me to close this thread and he tried to threaten to sue me. He claimed that I started this thread on the forums with his personal details plus left behind harsh comments on his Facebook page (I did initially during the time of which was about the start of this thread). I told him that I already apologized to him for those comments, he should know it. All I wanted was my money back, if i got it i would have closed this thread a long time ago. Makes sense to you? For all the times i said "for the benefit of the doubt" - i told Justin straight off on the phone, no i DONT TRUST you. How can i?!?! He was trying to play me like a toy! I then told him if he wants to pursue a legal case, I will wait for his lawyer's letter.

After which, he begged me to close this thread. I simply told him to call me back when he has gotten my refund money and put down the phone on the spot. I didn't want to hear the same nonsense again already. Dont want to spoil my weekend.

Its simple. My conscience is clear, I did what was right, if he had anything to argue against my comments, he should have spoken for himself in this thread. I did not defame him on any account throughout this thread. If the camera could be fixed by David, I might just close this thread out of pure sympathy for him and nothing else.

We'll see how. Likewise Cedric has mentioned, its really not worth our time to chase this guy - our precious time, money and effort should be spent on other much more productive things in life! Seriously. This is like karma. You do bad things to other people, and bad things return to hit you back in life. You shouldn't worry in first place if your conscience were clear.

TS passed me the camera.

This is what's inside
The USB connector is totally disconnected. Only the cover is holding it in place

Usually, these connectors can be soldered easily but the PCB copper was exfoliated

I'm not concluding anything. I got the camera and simply open it up.
We can all make our guess on what really happened

I don't know the seller and the buyer so I'm not taking any sides here.
Just trying to help these guys settle the problem

The sad story, the USB connector is connected to the main board.
Unlike the 5D MKI where there's a separate PCB

I simply took a camera on my table, aim, shoot (with build-in flash)
So don't criticize the photo ;p

Haiz, when he tried to abscond from the phone calls, promises about the returning the money but defaulted, he should have known you're not a simple man..... You have a black and white anyway... If I were you, I wouldn't bother bringing up to any court of law. Pass it to a "top of the line" debt collector... So much faster.... At least he's "licensed" to collect bad debts....:bsmilie:

The plot thickens.

In your opinion, what is the cause of such a damage?

I don't mind paying, doing extra labour or kneel at your doorstep for a few hours for secret manual.

Actually there is a whole industry doing "debt collection" and they are legit too. One of the thing is to "sell" the debt to them for a discounted rate. They will do what they can to collect the full amount. Either that, they will collect a fee (flat rate or percentage). They will collect the debt legitimately. But I can assure you, they will cause hell for the debtor. Phone calls in the early mornings to every number you are associated with, showing up at your home, work or regular places, etc etc... But all done legally though. At the same time, they will send reports to credit rating networks like experian, and the debtor will end up with terrible credit rating, making it very hard for him get car, house loans, even mobile phone plans and all will start asking him to put a deposit in.

So if TS really go this route... all I can say is good luck Justin. The smart thing for Justin to do now is to either fork up 300 more to pay for the CSC repair, or a full refund, and take back the camera. So Justin, if you are reading this, you better wake up your idea and do the right thing before it is too late.

Sometimes the best thing is for the mom to know now, so she can do something about it. If she is kept in the dark, one day a big big incident happens, she might not be able to take it then.

If Justin is let off easy, this time, he will never learn and will do it more and more, until one day, something big happen that he cannot run away from, and he will cause grief to everyone around him.

I have a pretty hardcore ex classmate of mine doing debt collection... He just parks Banglas outside your doorsteps everyday.... not 1, but 5-6 of them just paid to wait outside your door... until the joker pays...:bsmilie:

Justin, please come in and defend yourself, present your side of the story.
Or else, even the entire expanded production of Newater is not enough to clean you.
