Hi, I just inherited an old Sigma 70-300mm 1:4-5.6 APO macro lens (not the newer made for dSLR version). I'm not sure how old it is, it's probably about over 10 years old, and my aunt tells me that it has fungus on it.

I'm currently just starting out on photography so any free lens is a good lens, but I'm wondering how much it'd cost to clean it, and if it's worth cleaning in the first place...

Hi, CCD cleaning is quite easy, you can try using a clean blower to remove the dust.
And also, CCD cleaning charges at CSC is quite reasonable.

The focus ring is very stiff when turn clockwise but ok when turn counter clockwise.
