This is a good one ... so which is smaller ? :bsmilie:
Those two lines mean the same thing:
1/1.63 (LX5) is BIGGER than 1/1.7 (EX1)

The "LX3 killer" is a gimmick used by Samsung for marketing purposes. I believe majority EX1 users don't think like that. After seeing the lousy LX5 sample shots, I think "LX3 killer" is not realistic, even Panasonic themselves are unable to come out with a better camera to kill LX3 after 2 years. Unless the camera makers can come up with a new and cheaper technology for compact camera, there is no way to achieve that with a small sensor and fixed lens.
I also hope that LX5 is a "LX3 killer", given that LX5 is produced by Panasonic themselves 2 years after LX3 debut. As a consumer, we always like to see new technology come out to improve our photos quality while paying the price of a compact camera range.
Why you still want to talk about "LX3 killer" this words? Is there something that bother u? Let's discuss the function and etc. Wait for the product relase then discuss the pic. Don't hog on the word like "LX3 killer".
I would, provided there is some major break thru or upgrade. But sadly, base on the release notes from the net, it does not lor. I don't mind sharing the review to everyone if i got it.
Hmm .. who knows, maybe i might get LX5 and pass the LX3 to my buddy .. hahah ...
Hopefully i can use back my full accessories on Lx5 ..
LX3 Vs LX5 comparison
LX5 has less noise but I prefer Lx3 color.
Anyway the LX5 image came from a pre-production model
Sorry. I'm back again. After looking at the picture, seem like even the pre-production, the ISO seem ok at high ISO. But something keep buggind me that was, if the Sensor size is the same for both LX3 and Lx5, how come Lx5 got better ISO control ?
Did pana use more processor power for the high ISO setting?
