just a random post in this thread haha
been using the 6d now for a couple of months, and I really start to feel how its really worth the money! Switching from a 50d, the jump in ISO performance is really the biggest improvement of all. While the 5d III has more features such as the 61 AF points, i find the 6d still unbeatable in terms of price/performance - last camera i felt to do so was the 7d. Feels good when i'm with several of my friends who use d5100, 550d etc complain about having to barely balance their ISO noise with shutter speed at night/low-light areas haha (not that those cameras are bad for their price point) when i just simply blast up to 6.4k or even 10k ISO
Anyway, I find that even though this camera wasnt made for fast action / events, I still find it manageable to work around the specs of the camera to capture some good shots - for example the modest AF, ive been living with 9/11AF points since my pentax kx / 50d days so 11AF points for me is still acceptable - though not the best, but still somewhat livable. For the student like me, the 6d was the access into the full frame world
