woah... cannot stand the kingston elite pro liao. so slow and corruptable. planning to join the MO for the transcend 120X 4 or 8GB.
btw, anyone also using the sigma18-50 2.8 EX DC? lately, i am complaining that when it locks focus at wide, i always see oof when i zoom to tele to check focus. however, i was checking some wide pics i took yesterday, but all seems to be in focus. wonder if this lens is parfocal?
and me decided to go with crumpler. shibin say it looks cooler.:bsmilie:
Transcend seems good... I have one piece which I have stressed test but have not brought out for a real world shoot yet...
As for the Crumpler... I suggest that u put off your purchase until u get a vertical grip... I face a serious problem of getting a large enough shoulder bag that will allow me to put in a 7D + VC-7D attached with lens with the setup on its side either vertically or horizontally or even with the lens facing down... all the bags I tried were either too narrow (meaning they were designed not to accomodate a vertical grip) or didn't have enough space for other lenses
I prefer to carry 3 lenses with one attached and 1 flash. My usual arsenal is a 17-35mm attached with a 24-135mm and 100-400mm... plus the 5600 and lots of AA Ni-MH and 4 batteries for the camera... and I like my lens attached to the camera to shoot on the go and without having to hang the camera around the neck especially overseas... the 7D is a very expensive looking camera and draws a lot of unwanted attention.... and I like one empty space for my mounted lens in the bad with the other lenses to be kept vertical with all caps off so that I can easily switch lenses... u know slot the mounted lens into the empty space, press lens mount button, twist and dismount, the mount the new lens.... so the usual Stealth Reporter bags are just too small...
I physically tried Stealth Reporter 400 and found that it cannot hold a Sigma 70-200 f/2.8 attached to a 7D with grip plus a flash and one other lens... just too cramped with lots of pieces squashed against one another... tried to use the Slip-Lock lens puches but cannot find the right size for my lenses... haiz...
I have Lowe Pro Compact AW and that just about lets me put in 70-200 (with hood detached), KM 17-35mm, Tamron 24-135mm, Minolta 100-400mm APO, Minolta 50mm f/1.7, 1 set of Teleplus Triplus extension tubes, 5600HS flash, filters and blower and memory cards... but that's a huge bag...
And there really isn't anything in between... at a reasonable price... I'm still looking... if u find one please let me know... I have tried Tamrac (worse), Crumpler, Lowe Pro, and a few other brands I have forgotten... nothing perfect for me at the moment... so just use a simple Lowe Pro Nova 3 and squeeze lor...
So that sums my hunt some months back for an ideal bag... I am toying with the idea of a backpack but that is really not good for fast shooting, especially when travelling... long post huh? Thanks for reading...
