My personal favorite, Lowepro Pro Mag 2...

Reasonably sized bag which fits body with attached 2.8 lens, but good luck finding one, Cathay stopped bringing it in.

Times appeared in CS B&S since CS started, once...

I had to order it from Canada.

Picture? Is it on the Lowe Pro site?

a bit the big hor.

But your criteria is to fit f2.8 mid zoom with camera attached, only other non-backpack bags that can do that are the Magnum and the Commercial (Compact may fit if you really squeeze it...) and they are all bigger than the Pro Mag 2...

Rats, this is similar to my Compact AW which cannot take a f/2.8 lens with lens hood attached... Do u leave the lens hood attached? I always prefer to do so... easy and faster to mount and shoot... and my Sigma lens has a really huge frotn element... 77mm plus a huge hood... always a challenge to find something to fit everything in...:dunno:

hi to all. it looks like my 7D seems to be having the same problem it had before i sent it for servicing. but i wonder if it is normal. when having AS turned on, i noticed that during some shots, it make a pretty audible grinding sound when exposing(have to put your ear on the screen to hear). if it happens in all shots, i might thought that it is normal, but it happens irregulary. can anyone be kind enuf to do this short experiment to see if it is normal? just set your 7D to S mode, 1sec, AS on. out your ear on the LCD and start clicking the shutter away. do you hear any soft grinding sound in some shots? thanks!

my 5D alway have this sound whether the AS on or off on long exposure shots.

Even the Alpha 100 has the grinding sound. But I tested it at 3.5 seconds.

The Alpha was at my chest and it was audible...

hmmmm........but is it erratic? like sometimes have, sometimes dun have?

i was thinking if it makes such a grinding noise, wun it make the pictures even more blur, something like the mirror flapping issue.

I only tested it once at the Ms Colour roadshow. So I am not sure.

hi guys. i thought out of a better way to show what sound i am exactly trying to say. here's the mp3 of 2 shutter sounds. first one is the normal one, the second has a slight zzzzzz sound. http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=4BEACFA0323D5521

the zzzz sound is very soft, i think you might have to jack up the volume abit to hear it. so basically, that's the sound i got. fyi, before i got the zzzz shot, my previous 12 shots doesn't have this sound. after the zzzzz shot, i waited for another 10 or 11 b4 the second zzzzzz came. so that's what i meant by erratic. anyone has this prob?

btw, dun worry, no virus or screamers.

...... someone actually pmed me asking what screamers are.......:what:

they are those very irritating videos where nice scenary are shown, or this sexy model is shown, then very nice, very relaxed, you feel calm, then suddenly your speakers go ARHFHSHFKLJSJHGDSGSDJHFGDA!!!!!!! and a ghost suddenly pops out on your screen. you are supposed to then scream in fright and pee in your pants, well, maybe not, but i tumbled off my chair once.

hi.... so cold. no reply. is it the zzzzzzzz sound too soft, cannot hear?

On my KM5D, there are two distinct sounds, one from the shutter and the other from the AS. The AS sound is like a whirling sound. Is it grinding ? ...don't know, very subjective. Sound ok for me. :)

but is it regular? like all shots also have that sound? right now, i place the sound as 2nd piority. most important is whether the sound is irregular, like sometimes have, sometimes dun have. if sometimes have, sometimes dun have, i guess it is ok with my cam. but if always have sound, or always dun have sound................then i guess it's time for wisma again.

During testing for me, there is one occasion when there is no "whirling" sound. Now you make me want to think about servicing my camera as well.

BTW...what make you put your ear and listen to the sound in the first place ? For normal shooting, I don't hear the "whirling" sound at all.

Next you going to point out there is some "light" burning smell coming from the cam, maybe Minolta overclock the image processor. :bsmilie:

is it when u depress your shutter release halfway and u can hear a kind of sound.. then after it come to focus the sound stops?

nononono......i set at MF when i test it. and about why i am worrying about this issue, is that it makes me wonder if those shots with sound means that AS is activated only on those shots, or AS is screwed up on those shots. and it is quite hard to test due to two facts: 1. AS does not make every shot blur-free, depends on luck. 2. the grinding sound also not on every shot, making it doublely hard to test.

i managed to test it on my 7D, and i think i am experiencing the same as what u are! after you press ur shutter, if the exposure is long, there is a sound made inside the camera and stops after ur shutter closes. sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesnt even though you are shooting at the same thing with all the same settings and lighting condition.
am i rite?
