The design and white color is so space age.
Seems like ever color is nice for the K30.

Grip is smaller, but looks like it has more height than k5. Wants more groove on pointer finger though.

thing is its been quite some time since released. I think it might be because they put a gag order on testers not to reveal performance until told otherwise to do so. Could be what they have is pre-production units so i guess such a move would be warranted.

There are definitely some improvement. But can't do a thorough comparison before the final production or final firmware is avaialble

Yes, if you don't like plastic (but colorful) body, get the black one which might not look as plastic as the color ones. Qualitywise they are all the same.

If my K5 dies I can justify this! I happened to read a page of a Jap magazine that shows the 'leaked' K1, the bad news is it is having the same 11 points AF sensor.

I think Pentax might want to consider putting the cross-type sensor right IN the middle, that will allow many of us to lock focus accurately.

If I am not wrong but the kx,Kr,K5 have 11 points AF (9 of which are cross type). only the 2 extreme left and right are not cross type...

And the problem is that the cross type is around the 4 corners of the middle AF focus point (which is the size of a golf ball). If they could arrange one of it to be right in the middle it will solve the problem, or not? 12 points are good enough for me since I use spot focus most times haha.
