For you, they better make a waterproof one...:bsmilie:
I have not seen any reviews about the camera lei!
Chia, I am not saying you don't need a review, but with the exception of K7, I have only got good things to say about the Pentax cameras. Well, maybe the PTTL (I hardly use flash), maybe the focusing under lowlight (just don't shoot in total darkness), and especially for use with events (not a reportage photographer), but for the type of general use we've put it through, I really don't think you're going to be short-changed from Pentax.
I am not trying to advocate the brand (I am starting to sound like a fan boy) .. just that in the past few years, I have come to realise that familiarity with your equipment is really important when making the shots you want to make, unless of course, the shots you are making - Pentax can't fulfill.
I just can't seem to 'ditch' Pentax, :bsmilie:!
Don't forget one of your non-WR Pentax cameras survived a 1m dive (for about 2sec or longer). That's really some quality standard I'd say. Yes, Pentax got its issues. But talk about general standards, it's really value for money![]()
Check out here on a much more expensive camera w/ WR body which didn't even survive a mid-rain:

Somehow I believe it's a bit by luck, maybe... I just back from my Nanjing trip and during 1 shooting incident at "Fu Zhi Jie", suddenly pouring rain and I'm at an unshelter area. It takes me at least 4-5 seconds to run for shelter area. Initially thought that my K-X should be gone, but luckily it survives with DA 35mm f2.4 mount on it. Both cam and lens are fine. Very heng, sia...

Haha. Just to speak up for the much criticised K-7, which I intend to hold onto till it conks out, which means it's going to be my workhorse camera many years into the future.
Its high ISO performance leaves a lot to be desired; even the relatively lowly K-x slaps it silly in this aspect. I know, been using it for almost 3 years and coming close to 30k shots, and wishing it's better when I need to push the ISO up. But man, I can't find it in me to scold the K-7 when mine has suffered stoically with me through some harrowing times and given me photo files which prints oh, so, so well. So I have mostly good things to say about the K-7.![]()
I am sure it worked out well for a lot of guys here. It's just my luck that I have to change the body at least 2 times due to some inherent issues. But hey, that's long been put to rest. You've got to give credit to Kelvin and Emjay back then for being so responsive to these Support incidents.

Still waiting for the K5 successor or FF from Pentax. 645D (medium format) is beyond reach for me! Pentax, are you reading this?
We would love to have a FF... please make for us as I know, petition have been signed for a FF camera from Pentax...
Cheers,
