eh TFCD TFCD. lol still waiting for you to organize!

me still waitin for dat date lor...

which day u guy can make it? I'm very free during the weekend....:sweatsm:

i hate not having the freedom when using tripod. lol, somemore with the raynox the focal distance approx. 4 - 5 inches. Have to find the sweet spot, I think if u see me taking macro u will laugh. LOL. I feel shag after, sometimes im lying on the ground even. :bsmilie: But sometimes the bugs will be in a position that will be tough, I wouldnt mind a monopod in this instance. haha.

yah its true the tripod can be quite a bother when u carry it around...thats y i want a small one. but take macro always is damn shag one...i also like look thru viewfinder with one eye for ages...then eyes blur. macro is a tiring but very rewarding discipline of photography (at least to me). really, we must go n shoot some macro together some day sia.

know of any good spots in sg other than SBG?

I was at a waterfall area in Negri Sembilan...saw a small spider..

but leh when i try to take it...pic gone..

maybe my lens too short....

still deciding to get EF100mm or tammy 90mm for macro lor

my 60mm maciam too short...

Strongly agree but sometime cropping might help to improve the composition a little bit.
However, good composition skill is very important as it can save your workflow time.
den if leave out a hand or leg... its not gonna come back : / Often make this mistake when TFCDing and shoot

Actually I have also ordered one from CS MO.
Most likely, I think that I might be able to get that by this weekend.
Time to buy a new camera bag as the free one is too small for me already with that BG.

both 100mm and tammy are good. i tested them both. but if u oredi have 60mm macro, i'd suggest getting extension tubes instead to increase ur magification instead of spending 6-700 on another macro lens.

I was planning to go to sentosa butterfly gardens with synchroni one day.

Actually i was contemplating a 100 f2.8 or another speedlight together with the 70 - 200 in dec. But I'm leaning towards the speedlight.

The DOF is thin but I'm sure there's a sweet spot.

 dunno if u will lose any stop. but the tubes dun have any glass elements, its hollow. u confirm wun lose IQ la.. i ordered the kenko from the MO...waiting for it to come now. DCR-250 u must ask eleventh. but macro...very tricky DOF management. the room for error is in millimetres, u flinch a bit only the DOF off le...super easy to blur.

anyway imho i dun think u need DCR-250. the 60mm macro is a dedicated macro lens le...with extension tubes u can def get more than 2x mag. only prob u have is working distance to subject...which u cant solve with the DCR anyway.

If I am not wrong,
DCR-250 works better with focal length >100mm.
However, the DOF will become super thin at that focal length.
Quite challenging lo.
I have tried the DCR-250 for my FZ50 last time once.

Very nice to have but I dun own one for it.
Actually there are many americans using FZ series with raynox for some award winning pics.
That's y I have not sold my lovely FZ50 yet.
Btw, I am one of the first batch owner for FZ50 yo.
I bought that just one day after it launched in Japan.
