Cannot lah...like that even worse. My wife has just seen the articles. She commented it's the gal's upbringing. How? :bsmilie:

even the father's APOLOGY, ahem, if u can call it that, is feeble and half hearted.

how? singapore's future under this type of ppl?
:bsmilie:

i can see the next GE, AMK will haf a switch of personnel. simply pathetic.

Singaporeans are just very forgettable. Next GE, everything starts afresh.

OK, I shouldn't be OTing. Get back to the topic...

I will say this:

Both of them are screwed up.

But each of them has a point.

Derek on one hand points out the lack of care towards our most experienced personnel that is in our society, but however he relies on the govt to present out a solution. Not a good idea. It is not totally our govt fault, it is our society fault. And it is something that would do us in as the loss of qualified experienced personnel.

And I whole heartedly agree on putting internationals before the local students. In the end if we could not cultivate our own generation of professions, we'd be basically a dead duck.

Wee on the other hand displays naivete in detail on what actually is happening for the white collars in singapore, but she rightly points out our lack of drive and 'can do' attitude to get out of the muck....
