Hey guys,

Do not deal with Justin Yeo / 96586357 (aka username: Juice) on the CS forums. I recently bought a 2nd hand 5Dmk2 from him ( http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=715047 )
- as agreed on the phone, he was supposed to throw in some additional items like camera bag, box/manuals which he did not bring on the day of our meeting at his workplace (vivocity UOB bank). He told me it "was at his parents" place and that he would pass it to me the next day after he got the "stuff" from his parents place, which i stupidly believed. I agreed to that, and we settled the deal on the spot. However, the next day onwards- he suddenly ignored all my messages and refused to pick up my calls.. so damn angry yet i felt stupid because i did not take down his particulars nor have any written contract.... damn right i was one unlucky guy and i sure hope not to leave with a negative stereotype about others on this great forum.

In any case, hope my mistake may help any of you guys. I think it's better to solve all these complications by having everything settled on the spot - or to reject the purchase. I guess, not everyone is "honest" and sometimes being nice sucks. Just be more cautious when you deal with others from the B&S section, there can be a lot of other cheats like Justin.

--Moderators: I don't know if i'm allowed to start a thread like this. But, am just seriously pissed off right now and wanna warn others out there.

I've just sent a PM to juice asking him to come here to present his side of the story.

Just to be fair to hear both sides out.

Maybe next time if this situation arises, it might be prudent to hold back a fair amount of the money (like $100 in this case), until the seller passes you the other stuff, and at that time you complete the sale by giving him/her the final $100.

yes, i should have done something like that. i regretted being too trusting. now i can only suck thumb cause i dont know where he live nor have his personal particulars. i doubt you will receive a reply from him, but thanks anyway. if he has the guts, he should just pick up his phone and talk to me like a man, not hide like a pussy. lol

I did just that when a seller forgot his hood. i asked to withheld $30 and he agreed.
Well we all learned..

You mentioned that you know his workplace?

There shouldn't be that many Justin Yeo working in Vivocity UOB. Why not go there and look him up?

replace the **** with ****
sorry about that.

i think he's probably working part time there or sth cause he told me he doesn't "work on fridays". i have a day job myself - wouldnt make sense to take off to go all the way down and he's not around... ill try calling UOB @ vivo tomorrow.

anyway, thanks davsmiths for exposing the cheat. im trying to get more details of him myself but highly unlikely. all i have is his HP number now and his "temp" work place. anyone here working in singtel/starhub ? lol

sorry to hear about it and I'm pretty certain you can kiss the camera's manual & box goodbye...

The one thing I do not understand is, what good would boxes and manuals do for the seller? If I sell an item, and the buyer do not want the manuals and boxes, I would have thrown it all away. If I do not have the product anymore, these things would be useless to me.

I would hesitate to call the seller a cheat. You did get your 5Dm2 right? and the camera is as advertised right? That is the most important part. The seller could have an emergency, or lost his phone and many other possible reasons. Give him a couple more days. And do not be nasty. If you get too nasty, he might react negatively, and in the end, you can kiss your stuff goodbye.

In the meantime, download a digital copy of the manual.

he finally replied his phone now after i pestered him on facebook. i am going to meet him at his workplace at somerset 313 now. ill settle with him there.

Pls check your USB port on your camera!!!
