Hi all, got myself a silver ep5 with a Panasonic 12-35f2.8. Very satisfied with it, time to ditch my dslr soon.... :)
Btw does the leather sticker leave sticky residue after being remove and any recommendation of bag for my bodies n both lens...

I never tried using any stickers on my camera bodies :) why would u do something like that ? What I always do is to buy a half case for it.

A good camera bag I will recommend is the Hadley pro. I'm using it now ; can hold EP5 , VF4 , 12-35 and 2 other lenses (9-18 and 17/1.8) but all your stuff like umbrella + even a 13in MacBook Air.

I've been through so many brands and types and this is the only one that I didn't sell and kept using and using all over again.

Sometimes cases more bulky, or even half case can still see parts of the camera, if you want black, just buy black right? But what if your want snake skin pattern? Only way is to paste on the camera itself mah

Haha , true la. Ain't seen any snake pattern cases either. Personal tastes then.

I'm guilty of the habit I protect my camera bodies overly. Hence the half case is important as the baseplate is where most scratches appear.

Next time if we meet, you take a good look at my D3 hahaha, rubber starting to fall out, there's a gaffer tape over the top covering a big scratch showing the metal underneath (reminds me of terminator), scratches here and there, shows a lot what kind of person I am with my gear lol. Even my E-P1 has scratches

Heh , yup. But k la, not as if u deliberately abuse your equipment. Just that u r open to tear n wear.

I admire Wong for always lending equipment to u. I'd prob worry myself to death haha.

Oh please, my equipment injuries are all accidental lol. And when Wong lends me, I look after them carefully, except that one time when it almost fell cause some idiot kicked my tripod, especially when it's big and chrome, don't see how can you not see it in dim light -.-

Hi guys

Im planning to get ep5 or pansonic gx7 soon. Im leaning towards ep5 currently. I know both has a function to do a touch focus from the lcd screen. But what if I was looking through the EVF is there a way to perform a AF point selection?

Thanks in advance!

Yes u can do the af selection via the d pad when looking thru evf. But the feeling is kinda odd maybe my hand is big.

ic i guess its a small camera thats y its weird? as for GX7 i saw from a video that the af selection can be done on the touch screen while looking thru the EVF, perhaps that one more comfortable?

i only just noticed this... got trade-in (any camera brand any model any condition) promotion this month for olympus cameras (E-P5, E-PL6, OM-D)...

I've finally joined the camp of E-P5 (Silver) after long period of consideration! I'm glad to have joined rather than waiting for GX7!

Does Pen EPL-6 comes with built in wifi? I read the specs and it says no but the brochure put easy sharing of photos via wifi so I am confused

The package comes with a 8Gb tosihba wifi card. The EPL6 software is configured for the card as well. I find the card too slow (class 6) esp when you take continous shots. while writing to the card, you cannot shoot. In the end i did not use the toshiba card. the toshiba card's wifi function can be used with any camera or devices that accept SD card.
