Mick,
Thanks...I think there is only 1 chick. May be another egg inside that has not hatched? Anyway, I am more than happy to have just one.

My Saturday was spent sitting near the balcony to capture any actions... tomorrow shall be the same, I guess.
Cheers
Raymond

Invite us for Kopi O bro.

Oh wow, the egg has hatched.

These cute darlings must be keeping you busy watching over them.:heart:

Hi Pearl,
Ya, you are right... beside going to toilet and meal, I was at my camera watching for any movement at all. Managed to snap more than 100 shots yesterday. Took some video using my PnS camera for remembrance also.

Today must go back to work, sob sob.:lovegrin:

Cheers,
Ray

F2point8, you are so blessed and lucky.

Once a bird, not sure which species tried to build a nest on my balcony latch. I was quite excited but at the same time I know it is impossible given that the chosen site is exposed and precarious. Of course 2 days later it was abandoned.

Then another time, another bird came to peck my mop. I guess must be to gather material to build a nest somewhere. I had it taken in video with my PnS. Still trying to extract the stills. Any ideas how?

I am soooo jealous of TS

Hi two200,
Sorry to hear your less than ideal experience. Yes, I was kind of lucky.
cheers,

Today is the 3rd or 4th day of the new born. Parents still as busy as ever coming over in turn to feed the only chick.

Photo taken from outside the house. As it was overcast, I have to take with fill-in flash.

wow.... very nice, clear and rare shots of mother feeding its chick....

Seem like there is only a chick in the nest. Happy shooting and post more.

Nice photo  Hmm... hope the fill in flash won't frighten off the bird.

Have a nice day.

Thanks Alan. I think this weekends will be the last one and then the chick and her parents will bid me goodbye.... kind of reluctant to let them go but....

Thanks Weixing, the fill in flash does not bother the bird a bit. They have gotten use to me taking photos of them liao.. our friendship has been around for a long 3-4 weeks.

Not so soon. It takes around 14 days for the chick to mature and fly.So dont miss the last few days when it grow real fast and eagerly anticipate the arrival of the parent with foods. Can consider taking leaves from work:bsmilie:
