Saw some threads that is this lens is used on ff there will be vignetting. I think it applies to all UWA lens for ff bodies.
That is because this lens is designed for crop sensor.

19mm 30s @ f/11
Love this lense. My copy is soft in the corners wide opened but when stepped down to about f/8 it gets pretty sharp.
hey guys, jus bought this lens not long ago...
what exactly happen to the flare and stray lights created at the corners?
thought of it for awhile...
1. Did not focus at hyper focal distance
2. I am not used to the UWA settings when taking landscape at night
3. Emolux slim UV filter = low quality
4. The lens faulty?
plss plss help... still a newbie here..
Perhaps try without the UV filter and compare the results?
Must be the filter. I second macbart. Take it off especially at night when light comes from everywhere. It does weird things on a photo.
Don't think its a faulty lens.
Suggest to remove the filter. It seems abit foggy as well.
Below is a shot taken without filter. Further away from the bridge at a later time.
@10mm F13. 12 secs. Set the focus ring to infinity.
Notice in your pic the buildings are having abit of distortion. You can adjust the angle to get the buildings vertical. Or just simply pp in photoshop if not too distorted.

I think the general consensus for night shots is to remove the filter.
Sorry, can't help much on the UV filter thingy. Only have a b+w nd110 and an el cheapo tianya cpl for better contrast. Not a believer in paying $30-50 or more for a uv filter (unless its a L) :bsmilie:

Mine too when I first got it. Sent in for calibration and it was much sharper.
Hi Bro
May i know how much is the calibration? I am also considering whether to do it or not.
Mine was done FOC as under warranty. Before calibrating, my pics were abit soft despite camera telling me its focus with the beep sound. Had to do minor manual adjustments to sharpen it in live view. Mine had no front/back focus problems thankfully.
But do note that lens is calibrated to your body only. If fitted to another body, may not be as sharp. Thats what the tech guy told me.
Took this on saturday night with an umbrella to shade my D5000 & sigma 10-20mm lens from the rain at Labrador.
Great lens
When I called a few shops to enquire last month, I was quoted between S$744 to S$890 (yes, it's a wide range). This is for the lens with local warranty. Just to be sure (call me "kiasu" if you want to) I called Sigma Singapore to enquire on the warranty and to make sure these shops do indeed sell Sigma lenses with Sigma Singapore's warranty. At the same time, I checked with artworkfoto (listed in mass sales) and they're selling the grey set of the same lens (with one year warranty by the shop itself) for S$670. That's not too far away from B&H's price.
