I read somewhere that the f4-5.6 version is better, although I didn't pay particular attention why. Very content with my f4-5.6.

Dear all,

After reading and seeing all e post. I abit blur Liao so sorry pls bear wit me. I'm new to uwa but I keen on getting tis lens on my 60D.
So if I bought e lens I nd to go agent to cailbrate e Lens wit my cam?
Can any1 recommend me which filtter to get??

Calibration is only needed if you did not get a sharp copy. Filter wise u should get the slim version of filter. I won't comment too much on the brand.

F3.5 fares better for low light conditions. Assuming for uwa lenses to be used for landscape, most will be shooting from f8 onwards which defeats the purpose of f3.5. It very much depends on what kind of pics you are taking.

Go filterless. The hood provided is good enough for protection. Low grade filters may cause flaring.

I second the above plus low grade filters will degrade the IQ.

For me, UWA lens not only for landscape.
