Sigma 10-20mm F4-5.6 EX DC HSM User Group

Yes, confirmed its a function of the number of blades - in this case 6.

If you like more arrows in your starburst, the F3.5 model has 7. That's also a nice lens, but the filter size is 82mm, so be prepared to pay. When I tested it, it was like very bright in comparison to the F4-5.6, only thing is at F5.6, the smaller lens was subjectively a little sharper. Most of the time you're shooting at smaller apertures anyway, so its not going to make a significant difference.

Thanks for the infor.

My Sigma 24-70 HSM oso 82mm..

It make sense for me to buy 82mm diameter lens.

Been bz for the past week. Thank you guys for explaining the flare issue. Time to look for this lens in the marketplace. :D

hi everyone, just got this lens, pretty contented with the results, some obvious vignetting present as I was using a non slim B+W CPL, but it's no big deal for me

This is nice. So far with 1 non slim filter mounted, theres no vignetting that I can spot. Do a test shoot at a white wall. 2 filters stack together will definitely vignette.

I suspect the 'vignetting' might be caused by the CPL uneven polarization that is a common thing with CPL on wide angle lens. Not too sure in your case. http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/polarizers.shtml or could be due to

'light fall off' http://www.taunusreiter.de/Cameras/vignettes.html

Hope this helps.

any one of you tried this lens on FF? at what FL the vignetting will disappear?

thinking of getting one to use for 550D & 5D2...

Its a DC lens, not meant for FF, but its great on the 550d.

Was clearing some old photos and came across this. Blended with photomatix.
