haiz this thread will never die is it????

Simple Answer. Canon is good because their cameras can take photos while Olympus cameras dont. Olympus cameras are fake. Whoever that try to sell you an Olympus camera is a conman. They make telephones better than they do cameras.

Nothing new comes out of threads like this man..

Ha ha ha... to some, these threads are purely entertainment... :bsmilie:

I have a follow up question.......

Why there's less people using Leica than Canon??? let see if we get the same response ^_^

dont tell me Leica dont have DSLR http://en.leica-camera.com/photography/s_system/

Because its German.

No one wants to be stiff all the time.

And if you watch Top Gear (the BCC car program), you will know what the British people call drivers of Audis and BMWs... ha ha ha...

The S-System is not technically a DSLR. It is a DSLR form camera...

But it is too deep for those looking for extensions to understand.

Just like everyone one of those men looking for their extension will either get a Ferrari, Lambo, or Porche. You will never see them drive a Pagani Zonda or Koenigsegg CCX super car. Or even a McLaren SLR, because it is too deep for them. They can hardly drive too, always getting blocked by taxi drivers along Orchard Road and rev their engines really loud.

Those who use pancake lens are driving in the North South Highway to have a meal with their buddy in KL then come home to sleep.

Same thing, if you think about it... huge white expensive lenses (poking fun at Canon without offense since this is just a talk cock thread), usually seen at model shoots and car shows, thinking they are professionals, but never really shot a superstar or supermodel and never had their work published in a glamour magazine.

While the pros are actually shooting on medium format cameras.

hehe love the way you put it down... and also how you describe Leica S-system "its a dslr form camera" :)

You must have loads of babies in future. :bsmilie:

The truth? I already have 3 kids haha thats why i dont really fancy big macho long lenses cam hahaha if only there a 14-54mm pancake i would get it lols.

Disclaimer : Before this turns into an ugly flame war, let's remember that these
questions about brands of cameras are TOTALLY RUBBISH and when it comes to
which camera is better than another, there will never be a definite answer, as
every seasoned photographer will tell you.

Almost every entry level camera are pretty much the same but as you invest
into the system and buy higher end lenses and camera bodies, and your
shooting discipline requires more specific specialised tools that is when you
start to make decision on specific brands that meets those professional needs.

(In the tradition of Top Gear)

So if you own a Canon, you are still an BMW driver.

See? My point proven.

Hehe well i think also budget is one reason when choosing what you buy. Like me i cant afford to spend like when i was still single, and also this is just my hobby and not intending to earn from it. Just a way for me to relax after a stressful week at work.

That's not a nice thing to say about BMW. :bsmilie: I was thinking Canon was more like Fiat or Lancia maybe.

This whole thread (and others like it) makes me think I shouldn't have helped sell any Canon equipment when I had the chance. Not being biased helped them, but now the salespeople are biased. It's rare I've met someone who won't turn you away from smaller brands.

I almost had to fight to buy my E-1 because the store's employees hadn't bothered with them. I think that's half the problem. Lazy salespeople don't bother to learn anything but the easiest bits to recite to the customer. Learning takes effort.

Hey coming to think of it

i ever did 'shoot' a Superstar with my 'Pancake Lens'.....

haha

typically camera sales ppl i encounter is:
- whichever is easiest to sell: which is the C/N brands, coz they can't go too wrong, esp if they are not sound in their product knowledge
- best commission for themselves, this is where sometimes the smaller brands comes in

in either case, may not be for the best for the customer. there's always exception though.

but Canon = BMW driver
Nikon is what?
Sony is what?

I think Pentax and Oly both bicycle drivers:bsmilie:

Yes. A friend of mine was working at Epicentre on Orchard Road for a while selling Apple computer equipment. The older salespeople complained about him. He was doing something terrible. He explained why a certain computer was better for the use and demonstrated how it could be used. He was knowledgeable because he used the computers daily, but the others had the chance to use those in the store and spent their time talking to each other instead.

I wish that everyone was enthusiastic (and knowledgeable) about what they sold.

I would also wish for the 35-100mm f2 to be pancaked!! nice lens to use but the weight is killing..

wa.. really entertaining thread to read. And nice responses from the mods :bsmilie:
