Its been a while since i posted something... ok its a basket shot... C&C welcome :bsmilie:

Nowadays im pretty much confine at home to take care of my baby girl... Yesterday was one of those days where u are stuck at home but want to try to do something just to kill the boredom... Wanted to test out the westcott apollo softbox, i can't shoot outside, so i try to shoot indoor... kinda difficult with the tight space and no proper back drop... anyway better than nothing... looking forward to the comments on the basket shot....:bsmilie:

This is the only shot that i shoot with pentax, the space was too tight so the actual shoot was done on my Nikon... This is a test shot to check the exposure... but you can C&C if u want... :bsmilie:

Thanks for sharing this BIG softbox and above all the video, which I am glad your poor wife was part of the plot and your really poor girl has no choice but to act in! Funny, and indeed a great hobbyist. I will be too lazy to do any of such. Happy National Day and a good day to you and family

The video was enjoyable...it looks like one of those old B&W silent movie with all the movements. Like VanGogh mention, I will also be too lazy to do this,

You have a very understanding wife for this....Your baby had no choice for now maybe when she gets older. Enjoy it whlle it lasts, none of my kids really listern to me anymore.

1st step is to avoid changing lens with your sensor pointing to the sky.

Pict#1, will benefit from composing the photo using rule of thirds. The Sun seems to be the focal point (or at least it grabs attention) and would benefit if if was placed on one of the thirds to lead the eye it and out. Center placement just seems 'in your face' and dis-interesting.
As others have mentioned, crop out or clean up the dust spec on the top.
I would also crop out a bit more of the sky since it does not add to the picture. The water is ok, since the reflection runs towards the sun, into the picture.

Pict#2, again placement a bit more to the right is my preference. Maybe a bit more of a panoramic crop would help as well since there is not much in the sky.

I tend to find the Sembawang seaside, Woodlands waterfront areas very hard to do as its hard to find something that leads the viewer into the picture. You can try to look for one of course. ;)

Thanks for the comments and advice.... will take note for my next shoot..... :)

Took this tonight with my 12-24..slight crop at the bottom to remove the steps which I was standing on

very nice, different angle of the river/bayfront than we normally see

Here's another try with my old set-up,K10D + A 50mm 2.8 marco.

Light source= Offshoe lighting using Sb-26 with PT-04 receiver attach, M control.
White mounting board behind the sudject & using clear glass top for the watch & my phone LCD screen for the fake diamond ring.

Setting= M mode shutter 125-180 & Aperture f11-16.

here's my humble shots.
