Shot with dual flashlights 90 degrees to each other with kirk macro bracket. Off flash adapters starts to work with some super glue used. vivitar 105 macro. uncropped.

The moth is inactive and eye was red, likelihood to have been injured.

rare find this moth with the red pair of eyes. the 2nd pix plane of focus is good with overall body sharpness. looking at the lower part of the wing, there is really some injury...

All these are found nearby Longkang:)

shot with Seefei kway teow plate diffusers. I think this color is nice and shadows soft. Better than those more expensive diffusers.:bsmilie: Not necessary lens or more flashes have better image. Elcheapo one can be equally good if not letter. Single flash only.

This ant was doing some push-up when I took the shot.

not easy to shoot a black ant, very fast. good timing. look like the plate diffuser is working for you also.

thanks :) been practicing every chance i get... got shoot a lot... but most of them all 见不得人one :embrass: don't dare to post too much of those...

For those who want to try out using a reverse ring for macros (ie. not adapter). I went OP today and they had a few of those for 49/49 at $8 a piece.

for me, every trip only 10% keeper, 见得人 (postable) only about 3. the rest all go recycle bin. this habit save time save storage space. :bsmilie:

went to shoot macro with some friends this morning. Here's a spider to share.

Being your first macro post, its excited and I think its nice.. My first macro shot has lots of black shadows beneath and still think at that time it was nice:bsmilie:

Well shoot more and post more. Practise makes perfect. Every 10 shots you take, maybe one or two keepers and that is normal.
