Just found out that LX5 max shutter is 1/4000 instead of the 1/2000 in LX3!![]()
Singaporean sunlight isn't as bright as compared to sunlight in Western countries in summer.Do u really need until 1/4000?? I hardly even reach 1/1000 on my LX3 even in bright daylight.

The 1/4000s speed is only available at higher ISO like 12,800
Unless you want noises, it's no way you shoot at 1/4000s.

I was in Australia earlier this year and was summer with scorching heat and totally blue skies. Still my LX3 seldom hit above 1/1250. Pics are taken at f/8, ISO 100.
Well, if you want to take the picture wide open at f2.0...
