just be happy with wat u have and shoot some more.
I take it that you have nothing then...
For Nikon strategy to work, Canon users must make noise mah. A lot of noise infact, since Canon is pretty huge with plenty of corporate inertia.
Canon users are also learning from Nikon users... they make a lot of noise every time Canon comes out with something better and look what happen now. Nikon really makes 2 to drool for cams, and superb value for money mid range series which pros will not hesistate to buy it as their backup body.
the pics are up. ISO5000 shots.Drooling indeed bro! But I'm going to reserve my praises until someone posts pics taken with the D3/D300, especially with moderate/high ISO settings.
Here's the irony though. Canon fought so hard to overcome the Nikon F5's omni-dominance for the last decade, I suspect the introduction of the D3 brings back some haunting memories of the F5. If the D3 does walk the talk, Canon's in for a real tough competition, now at all levels (pro, semi-pro, casual).
maybe I'm slow...
I just read the specs of D300.
51 autofocus point ?
How come so much ? Normally is 9 only...
 think for tracking moving object ? :dunno: not sure , duntch care
40D !! haha .... D300 about 1k price diff. lens more important![]()
What I feel is that the D3 addresses the needs of a lot of photographers. Full frame and high FPS. In view of the 5D, 1Dmk3 and 1Dsmk3, Canon seems to be saying " You can have this, but can't have that. You want both, you have to pay." Even with the 1Dsmk3, the fps isn't that all attractive to sports photographers.
Also, I don't that there are many people who wants managable files rather than ultra high resolution. after all, it takes a lot of time to handle the RAW files and I believe many people out there do prints to more than A3 sizes.
Not sure what specific group of photographer is really looking for FF and high fps ?
But I guess these 2 are good enough to give a knock on Canon's head, to make a good 5D2 for me next year![]()
Oh tell me about it. I'm still waiting to be "delighted" as a non-1D customer with the 5D2. I'm hoping they don't try to bribe us anymore with cranking up the resolution. Instead, the same 12.8MP sensor, but with improved AF and durability would be very much appreciated.
While the D300 might seem like an interesting mid-range DSLR (at least compared to the 40D), i would be surprised if the Canon pros are at all excited about the D3.
Nikon not too long ago claimed that the DX format is all one needs, ie., there is NO need for FF -- DX is just as good. And now they have to eat their words.
I would have thought Canon users (who can get hold of the 21MP 1Ds Mk III) would have looked at the 12MP D3 with scorn and contempt -- certainly not envy! Indeed, many in the Nikon camp are saying: the D3 is a good start (finally), but let's wait for a higher MP D3x.
But I do not understand why Canon is so slow in implementing this technology. It's siimply cool, epsecially if there is more AF points, and if it is more sensitive and accurate.I just tried the eye control a few days ago, and it absolutely rocks...
If canon just updates the processor for the eye control, and dials up the senstivity, It's going to rock my world.
And it had better come out in the 5D mk2 LOL
very misguided viewpoint from viewpoint.
How big do u think the pro market is? It's small. Not everyone goes out and buys a 21 mb camera to shoot your kid. Furthermore, do u think the $$ is in the lens or the body?
It's the lens + accessories that generates $$$.
Nikon do not need to come out with a 23 mb cam to counter cannon. LEt them be the technology leader. I slowly get more users to use my system via a simple D40x...they will buy tons of my 18-200 VR + SB800 which are cheap to produce.
