Since they start their search 5 hrs late. I believe they should consider the widening the search area base on the flow of the current.

I read an article about the plane's radar signal when it is flying over the sea. It seem that the plane transmit the signal to the control tower to let them their location. Therefore, when the plane stop transmitting, it doesn't mean it have stop flying and drop off the sky. The plane could be still flying when the signal stop. Therefore, the search area is not really accurate in the first place.

I hope the survivors do not die of starvation

There was one air crash in Japan, where many survivors end up dying from injury and fozen to death on the mountains because of delay in rescue
