Malaysia Airlines plane missing...

MLY just completed press conference, confirming that the two do not look Asian.
The real footballer must be fed-up.

Malaysia Airlines MH370 Aviation Chief Likens Holders of Fake Passports to Mario Balotelli

If Mario Balotelli, would be like this:

So far this is the only witness. At least he says it is not in the Straits of Malacca.
Red line is from Ketereh to Bachok.

If the aircraft is that close to shore, something would have been wash up to shore by now :(

I meant that I have more faith in Msia than Sg for solving such cases.

U trust MY to solve this? How much experience does MY have in solving air crashes?

They can't even decide on whether Anwar is guilty in sodomy or not, for how many years? The verdict can flip like prata!

Trust MY to solve an air crash incident..... making my toes laugh

The red line is just showing the direction and not the precise location.

How far can the naked eyes see ? :(

If the person saw and identify the light as the one that comes from aircraft.

That means the aircraft should be within visual range.

He didn't said he is using any binoculars.

I don't think he is using binoculars. I went to google how far can the naked eye see and I got answers like the Andromeda Galaxy, so not much help. :dunno:

The direction he saw is quite similar to this track. He could also be imagining things. But if true then they need not look in the Malacca Straits.

Maybe they should look for fishermen who are fishing in that area who might have seen something.

If I intersect the 2 lines, this is what I get:

The sky must be clear and not hazy.
I google and get this answer = 235.7 miles

It is actually a fairly simple equation. The answer is 2.9 miles, here's how you figure it out.

s = sqrt(2rh+h^2)

s = line of sight distance
r = radius of sphere (Earth = ~3959 miles)
h = height viewed from (altitude)

All have the same units... so make sure you use it correctly.

A few examples...with rough ideas of what might be there.

5.5ft: 2.9 miles (Typical person's height to eyeballs)
2000ft: 54.8 miles (General aviation aircraft / tall tower)
10000ft: 122.5 miles (Mountain)
37000ft: 235.7 miles (Airliner)
60000ft: 300.2 miles (Concorde)
100000ft: 387.7 miles (SR-71)
250000ft: 614.1 miles (X-15)
500000ft: 871.1 miles
1000000ft: 1239.1 miles (Space Shuttle)

it is not whether they can see or not, it is the areas to cover. according to BBC :

"Search teams looking for the missing MH370 bound for Beijing have hundreds of square miles to cover and little information to go on."

ABC news also talked about how difficult the task is , they mentioned it is not difficult to see hand or basket ball but area is just too huge:

More than 80 hours already, and still no concrete clues.
If like the movie Lost, we may still have hope, maybe plane landed in the jungle, and everyone still alive.
I worry all this time, the SAR teams looking at the wrong place.
Keep praying everyone onboard is save and sound.

They need to increase more manpower to search as the area increases everyday :(

China is doing the right thing: smart search with satellites. Much faster to comb even large areas and images can be reviewed everywhere.

Also there is the Prophet.

Gun behind horse. So good, tell where the plane is now lah.
