Gosu_John said:Thank you Dennis, I knew I bought 67mm filters.. :bsmilie: Your webshots account doesn't show any EXIF information as such I'm unable to determine what (mm) you shot at. Were they all shot at the wide end on the Sigma?
If only I could persuade my parents to buy me that early Christmas present, a 77mm R72 filter.Maybe show them a few of your photos. hurhur

Hosea said:Hi Pablo.. have you started shooting IR... fly over some of your shots here.![]()
Dennis said:Yes mostly at wide settings, I have not removed the UV filter as such you will see vignetting on the photo.
loupgarou said:didn't see any follow up on the sigma 12-24...
I've tried taking IR before and at home I have a IR gelatin filter and a cokin P series filter, but its such a pain to use with the Cokin P series, so I have got the wacked idea of cutting the filter into the shape of the hood and then stick it in between the hood and the sigma 12-24 lens. it does fit, but focusing is such a pain cos by the time you take off the hood and put it back, you would have messed up the focus.
. then I lost all interest in IR cos I got digital IR action but i haven't gone round to play with it yet.
in anycase, is there a way to color a black and white IR image?
Hey Prablo,Pablo said:Hello Hosea,
Nothing I would be proud of so far with my S602; I am waiting for my IR filter to arrive for the 20D so I will continue my learning with that.
Hey Pablo,
By the way, what would be the outcome of using an RM90 IR filter.
I am curious as it is in a different spectrum I believe :dunno:
I hope I got the RM90 bit right.
When I can match what you guys do, I will swim over and show you :bsmilie:

Gosu_John said:I didn't notice the vignetting on the photos until you mentioned them but they didn't appear on all of the photos.
May I ask why there is vignetting taking place? If you were using a smaller sized filter for a wider lens then it would be understandable but because of a UV filter? How does it come into play here?

Hey ,your pm is over the limits..cannot pm liaoteerex said:Thanks for your compliments.
A very simple pp. 1. Auto Levels. 2. Red and Blue Channel Swap. That's all.
Hosea said:Hey ,your pm is over the limits..cannot pm liao
I wish to know how much of Red and Blue did you swap to get what you have. Oops forget about that shot..let me search for it.thanks
Dennis said:I am using a Hoya Super HMC Pro 1 (suppose to be thin) on the lens. Lazy to remove and stack the R72 on top hence the vignetting. Too thick liow. I will remove the UV filter the next time. Maybe they did not appear on all the photos because some may not be apparent due to the photo itself, some corners are dark.
