Else get online or ebay.
Eg.

There is also Mass Order by some kind folks here.
You just missed one of them :

BTW, I think our OceanPriest is very advanced.
Can load bulk film already ;)
Any tips? Worth the trouble??

saw the mass order too late, maybe will wait for the next one. haven tried agfa films before but looking at samples from the web, i dont really like the look.

Yes, it's worth the trouble if you shoot mostly b&w ;)

There's new bulk loader available at freestylephoto, the price is around S$35. I got my bulk loaders from ebay, old model and 2nd hand ones, for half the price.

It's very easy to use. All you need is empty film canister. Those from lucky SHD 100 are the easiest to open, can use bare hand to open.

IIRC Tri-x 400 100 feet is around $70 (at Ruby), can have around 16-17 rolls. That's only $4 per roll, compared to $8-9 sold at Ruby. Even if you put the bulk loader and tape and scissors into cost, it's still cheaper :bsmilie:

Fomapan 100 Short Date 100 feet is only $23. That's about $1.4 per roll. Cheaper than lucky SHD film.

i went to freestylephoto and check, the shipping cost is around $50usd if i get a bulk loader and a bulk roll, not worth it already after adding in the shipping cost.

can fomapan 100 be push to 400? i prefer iso400 film actually, can be used in most situations and can be pushed to 800/1600.

any good workflow for scanning/should scan at how many dpi? i just developed my test roll in school, but preview+scanning seems to take forever.

you can get bulk loader from ebay, used one cost around 12-16 USD, and shipping cost another 15-20 USD (but will take 2-3 weeks).

januarysix still offer mass order for film (last 10 slots) : http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/threads/954756-MO-Various-Films-Tri-X-Acros-Fuji-pro160s-Precisia-neopan-400?p=7453496

I think fomapan 100 couldn't be pushed too much. Since there's fomapan 200 and fomapan 400 for that purpose.

Thanks a lot for the info.
Wow! $4 a roll is damn cheap.

Do you guys keep track of the camera settings for each frame (aperture, shutterspeed, filter etc) ? Haven't found a way to put recording of such data into the workflow

Never. Since it's too troublesome to write down the exposure info, unless I have enough time such when shooting landscape or I have very powerful auto databack to print the exposure info outside the film frame.

I'm not sure if pentax has auto databack, but minolta does have
databacksuper70.jpg

the databack has metering memory that stores up to 8 readings from the camera's built-in meter

Were you "inspired" by the latest discussion on 50mm 1.2 lenses to do this shoot?;)

It's been a while since I shoot portraits. Actually I forgot I haven't tried Porst 55mm f1.2 on film. So I brought both lenses for a walk this morning ;)
