what's your motivation to share this picture in print? there's an out of focus pillar(?) at the extreme bottom right which distracts me. otherwise, the tones are great.

i plan to share this one:

its like an image of past vs present, progress vs stagnation, environment vs economy, necessity vs necessity kind of thing.

taken in singapore, perhaps almost like my own way of visually expressing a question of our national "identity" - what makes us... "us" - a booming economy, safe neighborhoods? development? and then what about our heritage, our past, our environment, non pragmatic concerns? oh well.

Pictures are very subjective.

I would suggest using the following guide lines:

1. Is the picture having a visual impact on the 'First Look'

2. Is the picture having a 'lasting look', ie, not bored after 2nd or 3rd time

3. Is the picture having a sound Main subject , composition

4. Simple composition is always ACE. Messy composition can lead to failure

5. Does the picture really showcase a Medium Format (if it can be take by a DSLR or P&S, then ....)

Let us review the pics again in a meeting. So get ready more. Lets be fair for everyone.

Anybody here knows 'Hong' personally? I have yet to be contacted by him. If i don't hear from Hong I will drop him from the list.

Framing:
I have decided, let's stick to IKEA frames.

Here are some available sizes.

Printing:
Your prints should be printed (or cropped) to the size that ikea frame you choose. I strongly recommend that we go here.
