well as I mentioned in another thread. We can't always change the things happening around us but we can change one thing for sure and that is we ourselves. Know the game, play by it, play by their rules and try to beat it. Life's tough and that's a fact. It could be better but it could be worst too.
We also can't really define what is really "living it up" as each one has their own version of it. I have seen the really poor who deserves a break and I have seen similar who put themselves in that poor house too or stay that way. We would like very much to help everyone but well...in life..some ( or alot of the uninformed) will slip through the crack.
In any case, till something better comes along or a solution can be found to make things "fairer".... there is only one person you can change and change your opinion and direction in your life and that is the one you stare at in the mirror everyday. No use waiting and mopping about. Do something about it. It might take a long while before you succeed but do something.
I am just abit annoyed I guess as I just have been pushing one of my "junior" staff ( if you can call a 44yr man junior store man) to make a change in his life. After a year it all fall on deaf ears and he is living the company at the end of the week and he is a car crash waiting to happen not long from now I am sure. He is not alone. I have tried to mentor others to make something of themselves and to be always moving up, work hard, focus and be willing to learn new things but again this is failing. Hs is not my first but there has been alot. All Singaporean and all not willing to put in abit more. All very quick to blame someone else, all waiting around for a break ( from god to govt to lady luck) I have not given up on others who I will have to nurture but it is a mindset ...a situation I see in many Singaporean. Even some of the hardworking ones...working hard but not working smart. Oh well... I can only care so much about their lives as I have my own but it is sad when you see people wasting away like that and for sure... for sure... they will lost their job not only to some foreign worker....it could be someone younger and Singaporean too.
easier said than done, isn't it true? majority (or who got "bigger guns") wins is not the way forward.
the oni organism that follows doggly (rarely challenging) the rule of the masses are ants, bees & the likes of them. yes they work in an efficient manner, they all work for their queen. today in Sg, we got no queen (the pun is not intended). but we're not ants or bees, individuals count as much as the masses.
why talk like bobian, "just follow loh"...
OT liao...
I am not intereted in the masses. I am only interested in making change to people on a person by person basis. heheh...
DISCLAIMER: This statement is in no one pointing at anyone hor hahahahahahah... * you know who you are* heheheheh
It's not very difficult to understand ... along the way, as 'everyone' 'progressed', somewhere along the way, some people forgot what it was like to be human ... in varying, and often, selective degrees.
You have to be joking!! Just because you don't see it doesn't mean it is not there. Just try going to a pub in London, you won't be served by an English person!
who is that person arh?
1.5 millions foreign workers in Singapore with a population of 4 millions.
Isn't it alarming?
Ya ,especially our youngs after NS 20s to 30s fighting ,struggling to channel out a career .:bsmilie:
Dont even think of setting up a family in that period .:dunno:
Jobs not secure or no more iron rice bowl due to lag of support from MOM .
We need a Obama in Singapore .
who is that person arh?
U can see the white sweeping the road in London and Paris...
Why so serious? :dunno:
Cos he hold meat rolls or have nothing by himself :bsmilie:
Great. Maybe we can import them to clean up our food courts? :bsmilie:
Why so serious? :dunno:
