This type of case common in Singapore? I pray not. Nationality & race aside, some people just dont seem to understand the strong & deep feelings of anger at irresponsible driving that cause such a tragic accident with the loss & destruction of innocent lives, & human sufferings. This is different from hate arising from racism, there is no need to be defensive. Neither is there a need for a judge to pass sentences before people can comment or criticize from what they can see. Does one expect people to just smile & say "oh its just an accident, nobody really want it to happen you know", "its all fated", "who are people to judge when they are not directly involved" etc... ?
From the video, its clearly evident that the traffic lights were in favour of the taxi. If one is driving a fast car, which is like a lethal ballistic weapon, extreme caution should be exercised especially in city areas. Can see more of these fast cars roaring & zipping around like they on a F1 racetrack & people on roadside cursing, swearing under their breath that the drivers are like rushing to be reincarnated & may they reach their destinations soon, which is hell.
And what has changes in times, values & laws, if any, got to do with all this. That these accidents are normal, acceptable & to be expected now??? That one cannot or need not feel the pains & griefs of the victims & their families?
