Yup, like that girl who failed basic theory 13 times, then got drunk, borrowed her BF's car and killed a pedestrian. Barely any punishment.

saw the news in papers, seriously the passenger is damn unlucky....... to die like that..... think she not even know what happen.....

the case you mention, was the most lenient punishment case......

Yesterday i was out along Marina Sqaure shooting..heard a red sports car (as above) but its a convertible..revving up its engines(yes..got roars..) again and again...

wow liao....show offs?

he then came again the loop say 4 times? all times is engine roar...wow liao..if i got a RPG on hand...

Spinal injury is a serious thing. It might lasts a life time with no possible remedy and the impact it renders can be anything from inability to use one of his limbs to probably paralysis ... poor chap. And seriously, irresponsible drivers don't deserve our sympathy. With the income divide between the very rich and the poor (don't have to be very poor) getting wider, let's hope we don't have more of such irresponsible people around!

I dun trust traffic light, often when the light is red at opposit end, i still see car beating it. Those driver think that 0.5sec after the light turn red is still ok to beat it.

Trust ur judgement instead .. its never kaisu to drive slow and double check, especially ur whole family is in the car.

yes i got first hand experience. driver chiong red light direct impact on my left leg. My leg was crushed between his front bumper and bike engine. My engine cracked in half, I was flung in the air. Now I have titanium from my knee to my ankle.

I don ride anymore but when i cross road i always wait for the cars to stop now. lol

Sorry to hear about this, so serious. Fortunately, your eyes & hands are unaffected & you can still indulge in taking photographs & experiencing its joy...

At 10 years of age, I witnessed an accident involving speeding taxi crushing my neighbour friends who were crossing the road between another car. I remember when I stoop down to look under the car, I saw the brains there. I have no symphathies for speeding or drunk drivers, only the innocent people involved.

Let's not jump the gun on who is right or who is wrong although it looks obvious, he eventually paid the price which is very costly and his love one suffered the most in this instant......life is lost on something that's avoidable if all parties drove responsibly.....a lesson to learn for all of us.

The Ferrari ran a red light. That is what happened.

If the clown ran a red light and kills himself n breaks some public property.

He got what he was asking for. So no need to feel bad for him, in fact should be happy since he/she got what they wanted.

Public damage will still be paid as it will be recovered from his insurance or estate.

If he kills someone else along the way, then he must be charged accordingly, and it should be criminal charges. Being dead does not mean the responsibility ends.

With ruling then the victims will have easier claims, else lawyers will deprive them cos the driver look like he has the means to lawyer-up the victims.

Sorry, this one does not have my sympathy.

I have a lot of mean words for the Ferrari driver but since he already died, I will not comment further.

The taxi passenger was a female Japanese tourist - Dead.
Abang motorcyclist - Spinal injury.
Taxi driver uncle - Dead.

No way to do defensive driving, the Ferrari hit the taxi like a missile.

Omg...now this terrible accident has claimed 3 lives out of nothing.Hope that is the end of the episode.Personally,I feel angry for the Ferrari's driver deed.But since he has passed on,i shall keep the comments to myself.It is really heart wrenching for his family,mum,wife,daughter & the poor unborn child.What more is the other 2 innocent lives that was taken away also by this freak accident.& I am quite convinced that the driver must have been highly intoxicated for the Ferrari to land on the pavement then hit the unfortunate taxi till the engine flew 30 metres apart.(Mind u,an engine can weigh 200kg or more).So imagine the speed then;it could be in excess of 150km/hr...
Anyway,my deepest condolences to all the deceased family & their loved ones & hope such an incident will not occur again.Peace to all.
