Anyone got any screen protector to intro for 7D? price and place to buy?

Some question on 7D shutter button. It's doesn't have the tactile feel like the 40D. Is that normal? Has Canon redesign the shutter button mechanism?

Just bought the battery grip and the shutter button has the same non tactile feel. So it's normal. Gotta get use to the new feel. "Misfired" a couple of times already. Haha!

Hey 7D Owners, does your camera's build in speedlite master allow you to do 2nd curtain sync for off camera flashes? Or is 2nd curtain still limited to hotshoed speedlites? Thanks.

It not allow 2nd curtain sync and high speed for off camera flashes

Isn't the cover on the LCD a "screen protector" already? Isn't there also an anti reflective coating on it too?

What you touch is actually the LCD cover... and not the actual lcd. (It's also replacable)

from dpreview.com,
"In order to protect the liquid crystal from scratches the Clear View II LCD features a hardened glass cover material."

to replace the protecting film is easier then the harden cover.

There's a firmware update version 1.0.9. My 7D comes with firmware version 1.0.7.

http://web.canon.jp/imaging/eosd/firm-e/eos7d/firmware.html

Firmware Version 1.0.9 incorporates the following fixes.

1.Improves AF accuracy during Live View shooting.
2.Corrects a phenomenon where in rare instances, movie images shot by the camera may exhibit abnormal colors.
3.Corrects a phenomenon that at certain timings, the shutter cannot be released when the camera's built-in flash or an external Speedlite is used for shooting.

Anyone updated with the firmware?

Just got back from Audio House (Liang Court). The prices of the Canon 7D as follows:

1) Canon 7D (Body) - $2699
2) Canon 7D Kit I (EF-S 18-85 IS) - $3849
3) Canon 7D Kit II (EF-S 15-135 IS) - $3249

and comes with the following freebies:

a) 2 x 8GB Memery Card
b) Canon Bag
c) Dry Box
d) Tripod
e) Screen Protector

Tried taking a few shots using the EF-S 18-135IS and te EF-S 18-200IS - very fast focusing as compared to my 300D. Menus were pretty much intuitive, and wheel was very nice to use. Camera wasn't that heavy with the 18-135 lens
