Welcome, I think it's made in China, but other friends can help verify.

Now key question is :
Does this matter ? I never understood the notion that some users rather buy a RX100 then a RX100ii cause the former is made in Japan while latter is made in China.

Consumer mindset on past history.
Why there are still so many people want to buy iPhone even it is made in China? Because since the very first iPhone, it was made in China.
:-)

Because I read this thread it was mentioned that the 25mm lens is make from japan, so I ask again:)

If I am not wrong for pany it is depend on model. Once the model is produced in japan during the first production the rest will be. For example now the 12-35 is still MIJ while the 35-100 is all along MIC. Same goes to their bodies. Not sure about oly.

Hi i got one that is made in Japan. :)
It is written outside the box so you can check.

finally after weeks of research and beo-ing b&s, decided to get the my silver em10 dual kit lens at a local well known shop. was using a sony since i started, so this new menu system takes some getting used to. one thing i noticed, the lens mount is plastic? is it only for kit lens?
also, with the replica battery fiasco for BLN-1, is the BLS-5 affected? i noticed that the free battery given by the shop have the same "explose" error. when packing the battery, i asked for the box, to which they replied, "oh free battery no box". i thought it was weird. anyone encountered the same?

many other m43 lenses have metal mount but honestly should not be an issue.

Guys, wondering whether there are any compatible ECG1 grip around? Can't bring myself to pay near to 100 for a grip Whh doesn't allow for batteries.

BnS often have sales at as low as $40-50...

hey guys, just a question.

i've been using the em-10 for a few months now and i noticed something which puzzles me. when selecting the area of focus to be everything (all grids covered) and selecting a higher fstop, the camera still focuses on a certain portion. i've switched off the face / eye detection.

is there any other settings i should be aware of? thanks.

How much is a brand new EM-10 body only now ? thanks

Isn't that normal? You only selected the area that it will try to focus on. It doesn't mean select all then all will be in focus.

When you choose that option, it means the camera automatically selects all AF targets.

when i'm using my 70D, using a higher fstop would allow me to focus the frame entirely which i can't do with the OMD10. has this got something to do with the sensor?

should be easier with the OMD since the sensor size is smaller...larger DOF.
