Hello,

been out looking for a new D90 today and it turns out that almost everywhere is out of stock. the earliest shipment is at TK photos "in a few days".

Been qouted 1660 at john316 and TK photos for the kit with 18-105mm lens (not sure bout freebies though).

I was also looking for the MD-D80 grip and turns out everywhere got no stock. I found a shop, at Penisular Shopping center called "camera service (i think i remember wrong) behind the barber, between beside funan, which has more than 10 pieces of the grip, going at "less than 240".

Just sharing, hope it helps.

if street price is about $1660, will it be better to get Best Denki? (I asked the salesman because I saw on the tag D90 $1688 and he said it's for D90 + kit lens - apparently the Nikon promo is still applicable until further notice). I am not sure about the freebies though but I do know we can opt for credit card instalments if we buy from Best Denki (good for those who does not have cash on hand). If it's cheaper than $1660 then maybe I have to reconsider.

What do you guys think?

well.. if u're short of cash on hand, paying $28 more is definitely worth it.. I rmb parissilk selling $1660 also...if pay by installement is ard $1750 (tats $90 xtra for installment).. but of coz Best Denki muz have stock la..if nt also no use talking

my 9mths old D90 reached 10k shutter count today!!

Its my Ist camera not counting pns. Been gd & fun so far..
Slowly figuring out what are the kind of images I like, things to look out for when I compose, and generally learning along the way. And still SOoo many genres & themes I have not even attempted.

As of today still only x60 pics in my free flickr a/c, reckon will take me a while to reach the x200 limit; have since deleted few earlier posted images I no longer like..lol:bsmilie: Thats like 0.6% but fine by me, its common for me to come back from an outing without a single pic to post ..lol
And what I 'like' will surely change with time.

Unfortunately..yes I do pp in lightroom,haha, though i don't use photoshop to clone stuff or perform more elaborate manipulations. Oh, and I do tweak the in-camera picture styles settings to my liking too.

But then my x2 lens r generally rated gd & sharp models. (I purchased D90 body without kit lens); so I reckon that helps.

D90 rated for 100k shutter count, so mine can roughly use for another 7+ yrs before needing a shutter replacement?haha
However, just comparing a Nikon Dslr released in 2002(7 yrs ago) was the D100 - 6mp, 3fps, ISO1600, 1.8" 118k dot LCD.....

In short, just shoot on!!!...lol

im using d90 wif the 18-105 lens...if i wan to do manual focus..issit i must turn the swtich to "M" on the body..btu hw abt the switch on the lens?
does it need to be set to "M" too?

asking this cos i scare of spoilin the af..

For this lens (or any AF-S or AF-I lenses) you can just switch the A-M on the lens to M. You can the switch on the body at A (in the case of just an A-M switch) or S or C (in the case of M, S, C switch).

wat u mean is that if the lens is of type (afs or afi) then i can jus switch on the switch to "M" on the lens. the switch on the body can remain at "A" ?

other kind of lens like (afd) then i need to switch both?

Hi, I understand D90 can take video too. Can it be done in the same time while taking photos? Or take photos and videos need to be done seperately? If can be done in the same time, is the video and photos clear?
