D90 User Group

It will be good to have if you have the budget. Since you only have the D90 and kit lens and if budget is tight, can consider a 30L one. Should cost around $180. Search the fourm, alot of info. I personally was using a 30L one about 10 years before it died on me recently. I had since replaced it with a 100L one

I think its better to invest $118 on the cheapest 30L Dry cabinet den to send in the Camera/lens to NSC.. especially if its after the warranty period

ermm where can i find the 118? if i intend to buy 1 more the 50mm...will the space be sufficeint..

is this model gd.? and doest it req electriity to be on 24x7?

Getting a faster lenses as tamron, although the range wise is difference between 16mm and 24mm.
But jt wanna ask the brothers here, any commends on this 2 lenses

You can call Cathay Photo to check on the price of a 50L. It will be able to hold you cam + mounted lens + the extra 50mm lens. Can put a few more in if you want

And yes, electricity is 24/7, but it consume very little, so you don't really feel it

You can try MS Color's Alpha shop at AMK (near Jubilee). Latest code from them on DigiCabi 30L (the smallest of the series) is $118(w/o GST). Yes the DigiCabi 30L runs on 24x7 but with very low 4W consumption.

ok i decided to buy the digicabi at carefour..

cos for everday card it has 5% rebate..but have to call to see if they provid delivery..

And I want to upgrade to D90 soooooon.
So what's you opinion? About those errors and faulty. :/

Got my dry cabinet at MS Color, D90 bought at Cathay Marina coz MS out of stock.

Btw, D90 output much cleaner than D80 & D200 & D60, hooray! Be it low ISO or high, D90 wins hands down. The difference is really visible. Did my own test with all Noise reduction turn off, D-lighting turn off, others all the same. Also the Auto white balance more accurate under mix lighting condition. :thumbsup:

for 5 months straight... i have been shooting every weekends... least shutter count 150 and max near 1k per weekend... i don't know what kind of errors or faults you're talking about... i'm just sharing my very own experience...

i only jammed the buffer once... night shots, high ISO NR on, long exposure NR on, RAW + Fine Small Jpeg... continuous shooting at low lights and finally jammed the buffer after 5 continuous shots... after that maybe i worked much slower on the tripod (i think sandisk Ultra II didn't help much)... it never happen again...

error once... still don't know what's the prob actually... just can't replicate the error... was helping out a friend of mine for his wedding... didn't quite continuous actually but started since 7am till 4pm... around 2pm suddenly everything jammed... top LCD still showing things, but adjustments of aperture and shutter speed LCD show no changes at all... change mode still like that... switch off and on then everything is fine again... actually i suspect that day i super "sway"... i actually jammed the d60 i borrow to mount with other lens earlier in that morning...

other than that *touch wood* haven't seen any other error or faults...

i never experienced any of those errors listed on the thread... only F-- once when i first mounted my 50mm... didn't know had to lock at the smallest aperture.... ;p

anyway i don't think my prob is some really jia lat issue, since restart can make it work... so didn't bother anyway... anyway that error never come back *touch wood* since early last month...
