Like you, I only have the 18-200 for Dx lenses. Can I ask what you meant by cropping the image to hundred percent?

erm... i mean blowing up the photo fully to 100 percent...... does this make sense?
if you want to view your NEF from D3 on CS3 and LR, you'll need to download their latest updates.
i learnt it the hard way.transferred from CF cards to HDD 3 times thinking the files were corrupt.:what:
one disadvantage i found with D3 is the location of the metering knob.maybe it should be located as the same position as the D200.
somehow, this d3 has rather similar resemblance to F5...
and please note, there are 2 types of batt for the D3.
one is enel4 and the other is enel4A.i was told the latter has better energy storage(does that explain why i could shoot one whole day on just one batt?), and it's higher powered.:dunno:

The metering knob on the D3 is on the same location as D1 and D2 series camera. you will get use to it 
The Enel4 battery is very lasting, i could shoot more than 1k pics (RAW) with my d2x and i heard that enel4a could last longer. I am glad that Nikon decide to use the same battery for the D3.

EN-EL4 = 1900 mAh
EN-EL4a = 2500 mAh
En-EL4 launch together with D2X and i think En-EL4a launch together with D2Xs. Just like for D200 battery, they have launch a higher capacity EN-EL3 ending with an "a" at the back as well. The En-EL3a.

Where did you got your En-EL4, please don't tell me the D3 package the battery without an "a" one
that will be a disappointment.. As the D2Xs already bundle En-EL4a in it... Btw If you are charging two En-EL4 at the same time, its better to put the same batt model in the two bay. Not advisable to charge 1 En-EL4a & 1 En-EL4 at the same time.

i got 3 more spares enel4a.all have 'a'.so now total i got 4 batts and i wonder if i will ever use till the 4th batt.:what:

i'll keep and bring with me for my overseas travel.that saves me from bringing the charger(which is not small!)
even if i have 4 batts,i will still bring my charger,esp in cold temp.
Its advisable to bring your charger along as there will be energy leakage on any battery form
