My initial plan was to go for D7000, since I am familiar with Nikon UI..... but lo and behold, the Thailand flood actually give me the chance to relook at Pentax..... and after much consideration, looking at the price of D7000 and reading tons of review.... no doubt Nikon got many more lenses.... BUT Pentax do offer the range that I am looking for and that is good enough... couple with the very competitive pricing.... it is indeed better value for $$$.... I am not Pro nor do I shoot very often.... and Pentax system make the most sense for me at this point....
Few things though..... maybe I use to the big grip of Nikon, the Pentax seem smaller, need getting use to... but it is indeed much much lighter...... :lovegrin:
Another little concern is the flash..... Nikon for sure got very good flash system.... don't know if Pentax flash system will be just as good.... I am actually eyeing the Metz flash, but no stock, got to wait till after CNY....
Btw, do Metz come with the battery pack that Nikon and Canon Flash have?? Concern about battery juice running out half way during an events., also good for improving refresh rates.. hook up a battery pack will have a piece of mind.... but according to the shop, don't have.... :roll eyes:

Since you damn near me PM me if you need the flash, I got metz44 tested it since a gift from fellow colleagues. Not bad actually hahaha, also don't know market buy how much sell how much but just that I don't really know when to use it unless night time

Pentax has an external battery pack for AF540FGZ flash, called Pentax TR Power Pack III. Cuts recharging time by half, used to have it, sold at B&S.Thank bro... I believe so...

Heard there might be a new batch of silver Limited Editioin K5 bundled w/ the 40/2.8 eXtra Slim pancake lens availble soon, and it is slightly different from the original silver K5, its grip is the same as the normal K5's grip instead of the bulky one on the original silver K5. It looks more or less the same as the silver K7:
