For those considering a UWA for the 450, 17 40 isn't it on the crop, Unless you intend to go FF soon i would suggest go with the 10 - 22.

The 24 - 105 and the 10 22 are have 2 different usages, the 24 - 105 won't be wide on the 450, but i've heard it would make a gd walk around lens or an okay portrait lens. You can ask hammie about it. He owns one.

For the crumpler i own a 5 or 6 million i forgot which one, quite good but it's getting smaller for me so i'm upgrading to think tank.

oops i think my post a bit misleading hehe.. i meant getting a wide angle lens & getting the 24-105 (walk ard lens)

juz curious any bros know how does the 17-55 stack up to the 24-105?

yeah as for the bag i'm looking more of a backpack.. easier for travelling i find =)

imo you'll be getting more range with the 24 - 105. But you'll be loosing the 2.8. I'm also upgrading to a backpack. Airport accelaration from think tank.

woo...in future i'd want to have a 10-22mm, only issue is to get the canon or the sigma one. im also hunting for a crumpler messenger bag...looking at 6MDH or 7MDH for now (since i dont have much gear YET).

for backpacks, i have taken a look at various bags too and i personally like the lowepro compuRover AW. it can hold laptop, tripod, lens, and then some more. even got waterproof cover. supposedly small enuff to be hand carry luggage also...best. gonna get that in 2 or 3 years time when i have enuff gear to warrant such a bag.

siao liao...going broke soon at this rate...

well i think crumpler is very ex...buy it only if u wanna avoid glances from ppl that u get when u have a bag that screams 'camera bag!!' if not, i think other lowepro bags are actually quite good in the sense its designed specially for camera equipment. take a look at their products...not bad one.

btw anyone knows if crumpler is cheaper in aussie or in US?

Domke
Kata
Tamrac
Lowepro
Think Tank

Just off my head, Alternativly you can get any old bag and get the inserts for camera gear good camera bag camo.

its not that bad la.. i use the crumpler sinking barge.. just enough for a 450d with a BG E5 + a 17-85 (just sold off) + 430ex (sold off also) + 50MM f1.8....
++ all the ling ling long long that i carry.. laptop la.. mp3 player la.. its quite enough for me..
on other days i bring for work also to keep laptop and take out the whole covering bucket in the front pouch which give me a lot more space ..
