Haha, I have forgotten that you have the L lens.
So, please go ahead and let's try your future FF camera next time:)

So envy two of you are the owner for that lens.
I have tried that lens once on my 450D.
The L lens is really wonderful for its contrast.
But I cannot bear myself from spending so much money for this hobby.:)
Or else, my mum will keep nagging for another month...;p

Haha, tell you ah... My parents initially also had doubts, scared I only 3 min passion yet whack so much on this photography stuff.

But during family events I end up being the free photographer (my bro was the second taking it using our family super old Sony PnS with NO IS).

But after they saw the results:
1) Mine nearly all sharp with good IQ vs
2) the pics from the PnS all blurry from camera shake and suffering from poor IQ (with a keeper rate of <10%), I knew they were convinced. :)

You kidding me? That's quite a nice pic.
At least it makes the food look tasty!

And the selective focus is also

hmm...gd meh? me still dun get it lor..haha

but at least dis pic won me a canon cap n jacket during the canon fd n makan workshop.;p

I thought of the f4, cause it's light but i decided on the f2.8 for the speed. Although it's heavy.

Is it?
Maybe I will borrow from my friend to try next week bah.
But will it be too long focal length for a cropped body like 450D?

I like landscape only when I was in Japan for nearly 9 months last time.
Btw, I prefer natural scenery rather than the city scenery.
Just do not know why also.

wah japan for 9 months, sounds damn good. Work?

hehe i also upgrading to FF soon =p

mmm IS is tempting, but 70 200 for me first, and i just might get the 5D kit which includes the 24 - 105 after.

Hee, the 70-200/4L?
Anyway I think the 5D II and 24-105 is a solid combo. Can't go wrong with that (though I'm personally not buying the 5D II).

I also now end up like my family events free photographer.
Already booked up by my cousins for their wedding dinners at Oct and Nov.
Last Sunday, I also helped up my cousin for his ROM photos.
Now, still in the process of photoshop all those photos.
A bit tiring but I get satisfaction when they like your photos.

f2.8, I was refering to Mk I, which i think is good enough for me.

I don't think so. 70-200 is a telephoto range anyway, which implies you are likely to be some dist away from the subject. Hence a longer focal length is likely to work in your advantage, rather than against it.

Also, cropped bodies are made for long focal lengths. You will need a much larger and expensive glass to acheive the same FOV on a FF body. =p

Yup, business trip.
I have gone to Japan for around 8 or 9 times.
Near the Tokyo area.
So, totally it is about 9 months in Japan so far.:)
Btw, Japan is really a good country for photographers.
There are lots of them having photography as hobby.
I always can see lots of photographers when I take the photos there.

Wow, that's really awesome lor! Then won't feel out of place when you are snapping away like mad. Sometimes I get a bit more attention than I want locally when I whip out my dSLR. =)

toking about the 70-200. I also stuck at better body or tele lens

hmm..how abt 16-35mm?? I had tried 17-40mm but found nothing fanciful abt it lor..

Which one do you foresee being more of a benefit to your photography in the next few months to come?
Buy the one you think will be of more use first, then save up and buy the other.

Either way you will get both in due time. ;)
