ISO 1600 just NR it, it become like ISO 200 liao... Do note 450D 1600 is much much better den 400D 1600I also think that the ISO 1600 is quite acceptable also for small prints up to A4 size.
In fact, 30% to 40% out of my photos taken with 450D till now are ISO 800 and ISO 1600.
Regarding to the auto ISO, I think the lowest ISO that it will give you is ISO 200.
When the light is bright enough, I can get the ISO 200 from the auto ISO setting.
However, whenever it is allowed, I prefer to take the ISO 100 for better dynamic range.
I only use Optech strap for my camera bag xD like got suspension very shoik. If not my shoulder gonna break.

I wish to buy the 430EXII flash first before buying the other accessory.
I would second that! Having an external flash opens up new possibilities for your photography!
(I would know as I was initially a flash-avoiding player, but that changed after I saw what I could do with it).
As I read elsewhere, in low light situations:
ext flash + average lens >> built-in flash + good lens

I agree that 450D ISO 1600 is much better than 400D.
In fact, 450D ISO 1600 picture look better than my Panasonic FZ50 ISO 400 photos.
Never regret to buy that.

So envy two of you are the owner for that lens.
I have tried that lens once on my 450D.
The L lens is really wonderful for its contrast.
But I cannot bear myself from spending so much money for this hobby.
Or else, my mum will keep nagging for another month...;p

mmm IS is tempting, but 70 200 for me first, and i just might get the 5D kit which includes the 24 - 105 after.

I hate landscape .... I also dunno why....
I like landscape only when I was in Japan for nearly 9 months last time.
Btw, I prefer natural scenery rather than the city scenery.
Just do not know why also.
