lol actually I've started to notice an influx of people with dslr here, I've no doubt that singapore will be something like that soon.
No doubt the price of DSLR downdraft have enable ppl to use them. But I still surprised, I met some people who use DSLR for the sake of using it... coz it is SLR.

Like today, I meet someone random who plop a 430Ex and use it like normal point and shoot, and complain why his flash so powerful all white white picture.

lenses are forever. bodies come and go :bsmilie:

Very good advice :)
However, I feel that he should also take into consideration his upcoming needs.

Although lenses are forever, a 70-200 that he forsees using only 1-2x for the next few months isn't gg to be as useful as a new body that he can use with *any* lens day in day out.

As he is eventually going to get both, I think it may be better to just get what you think is more useful first. Then get the other one once the chance arises.

Must be see other pple use dSLR and take good photos hence immediate association = camera will help you take good photos.

It's the same as pple seeing your photos and saying, "That's nice! What camera you use?"

Although equipment does matter, good equipment means jack if the user can't use them well.

PS: This is why I hate direct flash with a vengenance (but that's a diff story :))

hehe you're right, but i don't think he'll be in a hurry to get a body as of yet since his able to wait for the new FF cam. Plus i think the 450 is sufficient enough lol. The only qualm is prolly the weight distribution.

Ahh, forgot abt his desire for the new FF cam. :bsmilie:

Photography is an evil hobby.... always tempting me with desires as well.

Partly is the lens, secondly the non usage of tripod. Thirdly the funny make of the light box.

It just 4 round fluorescent tube with a white acrylic separating it. That y u see the round light fall off

Hi fellow 450D user and guru. I'm gonna buy a 50mm 1.8 and tamron 1750 f2.8 w MS color.i read a lot abt this lens testing and camera body alignment test.what do u guys do whenu buy new body and lens? I thought it looks weird to take out a chart and shoot on it(haven see ppl in shops doing it). All i can do is shoot around the shop and look for front back focus error?

If lens focus test perform at home with a few lens give constant result, does it mean the cam body is ok? Do you guys set the exposure compensation or leave as default?
