wah, the lack of a good flash system really made indoor shots challenging man. i just came back from SIN. i can only saw a minority of my photos are acceptable, not even marvelous.

and a f/4 is not sufficient for indoor. think i must get a 17-55 f/2.8 plus a 430ex II le.

was using 17-40L for the shots however it was really limited by the focal length. i think 17-55 if not 17-85 will do. will post the pics to my flickr soon.

I just came back from SIN. i wished i brought my 1740 along lol the 24 70 was too tight for car shots :sweat:. will post some up soon.

Do you use any flash for the SIN event?
I still wonder whether it is alright to get the shoot without using flash at that event.

I used my flash for 5 mins than i took it off. All my shots were without flash. i just leech on peoples flash, mass abundance :sweat:

thanks JP, but honestly i have yet to learn the mechanics of how to use a flash properly. That's why i took it off after 5 mins. lol. But i did ok without, only thing is alot of shots had handshake. Practice makes perfect i guess, still learning. Maybe next time can organise outing, can learn from each other. :bsmilie:

Do you use the external flash or build in flash?
I do not like the build in flash as it will give the hard shadow.
If use the diffuser, it will be slightly better but still not good.
That's y I would like to buy the 430EXII for that.
Outing is a good idea but these few months, I will be quite busy for jobs and wedding dinners.

i use the 430EX with omnibounce. lol. Need to read up alot on flash, think the best way is to get someone whom knows how, to teach you tho. :dunno: clueless.

Guys, was just trying out some shots of my chess set but it not seem to turn out quite what I expected. Any advice on improving the shots? Glass doesn't seem to be a very easy subject to shoot.

The battery grip cannot help to give a better balance?
Will u sell off your battery grip?
I am interested at that if you wanna sell it.
