Canon is touting both the the 6D and 7D as weather resistant. They state that they deliberately designed the 6D without a pop-up flash to ensure weather resistance. Yet they included a pop-up flash in the 7D and still claim weather resistance. Are they not making contrary statements? How does one resolve this reasoning?
BTW: After your camera short circuited at Niagara Falls did you get it repaired at the CSC facility in Mississauga?

Why not think about your next "best" photo?
If you look at the specs, those in red are non-photographic features.
What I want to find out is the dynamic range of the new sensor, the HDR capability, panoramic aids, focusing screen replacements, etc. I also found it strange that since the target market is travellers, then why a built-in flash is not included?
I find it is more of a horizontal replacement camera rather than an upgrade.

DSLR w pop-up flash is essential.
Backlighting n lowlight situation.
No flash just up exposure compensation will over expose the background n bring out noise.

It'll be bizzare for anyone to 'upgrade' their 5D2 for a 6D unless it's for the small size and reduced weight.
What's the big deal about the articulating screen? Some swear by it and some people have no use for it. If 6D doesn't have it, so be it. There are other cameras to choose from.

I believe in proper disposal. give to me, I'll see to it that it is properly recycled

OMG..LOL wonder what he would do..let lions chew on it? Then let it soak in acidic water? Then soak it in liquid nitrogen n drop it down from a cliff..n later he will still be able to shoot it only with the bare frame with buttons...O_O..the camera belongs to the terminator
