Haha..wonder who earns that much a pic

Normally when the photographer has passed on.

While alive, only a handful can command such price I believe.

not necessary.. some stock photos just worth that much. my friend's boss, a seasoned photog but not some big name just sold one of his photos for SGD$15,000.

I am considering dumping my 5D3 for 6D. But the 5D3 peripheral cross AF sensors are giving me pause.

Anyway, here are the advantages of 6D over 5D2:

Apart from price alone, 6D is much better than 5D2 IMO

check this out and see your thoughts how about this camera?

"Deep Green" - EOS 6D - YouTube

With the articulated screen the guy wouldn't be having a hunch while shooting low...but nice low light sensitivity performance...but inn sg don't think i need that ..everywhere to bright..want to shoot stars also got to much light pollution

not exactly sure, but I know that his boss have shot weddings for the past 10 years, and have been doing commecial/advertisement shoots for corporate clients. He also holds a stock photo account for typical stock photos.. Of course not all photos sell or sell that well, just that that one photo earned him $15K. My friend didn't believe it when he saw that e-mail offering his boss, nor his boss believed it when he first heard, but it was indeed a deal closed.

in the end still just whack mk3...
the comparison chart is just trying to diminish mk3 and promote 6D.....
zzzzzz
same technology or on par items also put red on 6D
duh............
GPS n wifi frankly i dun use, so not a point to consider
of cos ppl always will say hv is better thn dun hv

just like when dslr gt video, ppl say dslr for photography only
y need video
if wan video, get camcord etc etc

i dun wanna wait n wait then later disappointed
so jz whack mk3...

2cents thot

No, the comparison attempts to point out the advantages of 6D over 5D2, NOT 5D3.

Also, if you believe AF that starts at -3 eV is on par as one that starts at -0.5 eV, something must be wrong with you

The weight figures in the table are not correct. Together with their batteries, the 5D3, 5D2 and 6D weights according to cweb.canon.jp are 950g, 905g and 755g respectively. BIG difference

I like weight=)..somehow makes my hands more stable..

stop bashing about 6D if you don't want to get one... professional film makers will have an external monitor / EVF to look at what they are filming. like what many others said before. no like 6D? get 5D2/5D3 or just change camp. the cam is not even release to the public and you are complaining about it. i own a 5D3 and i actually thinks that 6D is a value for money cam. it's just too bad if Canon did not make your dream cam

Relax my friend, that's always the case before something came out with only the spec sheet.
Used to own a 60D, before it came into the market, it was badly 'hurt' by keyboard warriors about the spec, articulated screen. In the end, lots of people love it. Haha.....
Now with 5D3, think of changing to 6D due to weight. My most used lens is 70-200 f2.8. The combo is a killer when you hold for one full day, haha....

Waiting for 6D to be out and test it out.
If the ISO is on par with 5D3, and the - 3ev is proven to be solid.
Would love to have one.

Relax my friend, ....

Agree. Basically this is a forum and a place for people to put forward their views. If there is any argument then we employ the dialectic method to resolve it where we put forward our reasons and logic or opinions. And in this process we need to be kind and tolerant of different views. In this discussion Here we are talking and speculating about something that has yet to appear. If you are uncomfortable with this you can choose to refrain from participating. At no time we should ask people to shut up because this is a forum.

Honestly I think the articulated screen was left out for a justified cause with the consumer in mind. It wouldn't really make sense if a camera becomes inferior because it does not have an articulated screen.

It's just like saying my plate of Wanton Noodles is unhealthy because that fella ran out of vegetables and replaced it with more Char Siew.

Just my two cents :D

What's the big deal about the articulating screen? Some swear by it and some people have no use for it. If 6D doesn't have it, so be it. There are other cameras to choose from.
