Arsenal Football Club - The Gunner's Thread 3

Yeah man ... it's like exhibition style ...

Thank goodness Febragas played a lot better for this game ...

For those who missed out on catching the game live, here's a blog that has the highlights.

http://arsenalist.com/

Check out Vela's goal, 24 passes completed before Fabregas gave a sweet lob for him to finish it off sweet.

The set up to Vela's goal is incredible... but they also missed numerous good chances to increase the lead.

Did you guys noticed that this is the first time that the reserve do have real depth considering RVP, Theo and TV are out?

I hope that the rotation will help Arsenal through to the title this season.

Typical Arsenal early season very good play flowing football but near Nov time, tend to pang-chek. Fingers crossed.

Something very noticeable is they are enjoying their football again, maybe it has got to do with getting rid of a bad blood player who disrupted team morale. Happy days!

Arsenal is cruising and giving Braga a torrid time :D:thumbsup:

Sweet! Another 6-0 win for Arsenal and this time, on our opening CL game against Braga! Woo hoo!

Its always nice to read thumping news like this in the morning :bsmilie:
Its double happiness when I read Inter Milan suffer at the hands of Rafa Benitez. :bsmilie::bsmilie:

If you want your club to fail, just hire him.

See the goal highlights of the Arsenal game here.

Time for get our revenge @ the Stadium of Light! However, it's true that playing against Sunderland will be a lot tougher than Braga, still ... Go Gunners!

Stupid ref denying Arsenal the penalty and giving Song 2 yellows for nothing challenges.:angry::angry: I hope Cesc's freak goal is going to hold up till full-time!

Urgh! Rosicky's miss was costly ... :(

alamak.......... feel sad for you guys, as arsenal is the only hope to chase chelsea.

Emphatic win over hated rivals. A 1-4 win at White Hart Lane. :thumbsd:
Lansbury proving he wants a go in the first team, Wilshere still performing,
Nasri netting two penalties and Arshavin seem to score at the right time
most of the time.

Rafael should keep his mouth shut bout who's the bigger club, embarrasing himself.

Highlights from Arsenalist

Yeah, it's a great win ... glad that AW did not field a team of boys!

Actually he did, the average age i believe is still younger than the average age of the spurs team fielded. :sweatsm:

I read from the news that not only did we loose the match, we put a a bad performance inbetween our posts and were 2 goals behind. They say the ''ball is round'', meaning that anything can happen. But I say our ill-consistency will cost us our chances, and leave us vying for the 4th spot, again.

We can dream on about competing with the likes of Chelsea & Man U if we keep this up.
We keep enjoying and relishing each time we ''thrash'' a team with more than 3 goals, but we reel when we loose crucial points like these when push comes to shove.

As the commentator in the match was saying, Arsenal only showed some sense of urgency only after going behind.

I feel the team thought West Brom would be easy meat, hope this match can give them a wake up call. ;(

I was feeling really damn furious ;( after the game. I felt only Nasri was really trying very hard to score. How I wish the penalty had gone in to wake the team up earlier.

In fact, I felt AW was not like his usual self. From the TV, (maybe the TV didn't show it), he was sitting on the bench most of the time. I didn't see him getting to the touchline shouting and urging at the players - he has got no urgency last night as well. And I thought he should replace Eboue in the first half. This guy was passing the ball to WBA most of the time :thumbsd:.

How to be champions if we cannot even capitalize on the chance when the team above us did not win :dunno:
