Arsenal Football Club - The Gunner's Thread 3

If Man United win tonight, we will fall to third in the league, from there we would have to play catch up again.

apart from nasri, the rest of the team must take the blame for this collective failure...and kindly replace the keeper for god sake

FT scores 2:2. Man U lost the chance to close the gap with leader Chealse:(

big night tmr against chelsea. any predictions?

2-1 to Chelsea. We would have to be realistic here guys.
Drogba, Kalou & Chamakh to be on the scoresheet.

heard that Kalou got some minor injury problem. then again even if he doesn't play chelsea got strength in depth. I think Fabianski probably gonna cost arsenal the points.

I'm rooting for a draw ... tired of us losing to Chelsea for the last few seasons, sigh ...

Currently we are down by one, that drogba shot was kind of unstoppable...didnt expect him to squeeze in that tight angle shot. Unlucky for Fabianski. :what:

Come on you Gunners! Put the ball in!

few chance for chelsea and they scored again... same old story for arsenal... :(

Both chelsea's goals were unstoppable, imo. Clearly, gunners were out of ideas, going through the same plays repeatedly, high ball in from the left flank, high ball targetting chamkh. They were playing the same style for the Bolton loss.

John terry made to look good, clearing all the long balls in. Chelsea's midfield and drogba had more conviction, lots of hard running, chasing, closing down. They earned tonight's game. Respect.

Wenger introduced two strikers bit late... not much can be done in the last 20 minutes being down by two superb goals. Jet and vela didnt get to touch much of the ball. Hopefully next game, they will improve on their mistakes. COYG!!!

Performance wise, it wasn't as bad as before. Just that the team that takes its chances won....
Even Fabianski wasn't too bad, only flap at a high ball once. :bsmilie:

Let's hope Drogba will never score against us anymore - he will stop at the unlucky 13 ;).

The Alex bullet shot was unstoppable. At first, I blamed Arshavin for not closing the gap when Malouda moved away from the wall just before Alex shoot. But after seeing it again, the ball could have smashed Arshavin face. It was the only wise thing Arshavin did all night. Otherwise, we would have added another casualty to the injury list :bsmilie:

BTW, anyone who haven't seen Pirlo (AC Milan) goal last night should take a look :

How I wish we have someone who can strike the ball this way ;p

Yup, think it's one of our better games against Chelsea; glad that we didn't sit back and defend, otherwise they'll really hammer us ...

We may be good but not as great as Chelsea ...

Guess we won't be reclaiming the bragging rights of the best team in London for a while ...

No RVP, no Theo ... sometimes I wonder though we have so much talent playing for the club yet they are injury-prone. It's as if we don't have them playing most of time; should we consider offloading them and spend and bring new (not young) faces in?

Amazing! made it look so easy. Even Ronaldinho was stunned!

sadly almost half the squad is injury prone. even the GK seems to get injured more often than usual. better still, every year someone must break their leg or something... damn depressing...
