Tried the Pentax K5IIs? It shoots right down to -3EV and 7 FPS. Try confronting it with a crawling infant, in broad daylight, and it gets totally lost ..............so much for state of the art (shoot in the dark) AF systems......... Just leave the action to the Big boys of Canikon. They always get the job done.

Sure I tried it, a few weeks ago. It sucks balls. No idea why the Pentax fan base is raving about the AF system, it gets totally lost in low contrast areas and it doesn't need to be dark for that. I think it's a misconception that darkness is most challenging for the AF's sensitivity. On the other hand Pentax has the fastest CDAF engine of all DSLRs.

Yes, I'mso happy my A900 and the A99 I tested had no problems locking on to a subject where the D600 and a 5DMkIII struggled.

True. Then again the a900 tracked F1 cars. But you're right, it's perfectly alright for other brands to struggle tracking an infant.

seriously, i dont think it can be that bad.... If you test the camera body with a kit lens in a bright back contast background, all i can say is you dont even understand how to test a camera at all.

There are quite a lot. But most are busy shooting. In a recent photoshoot I walked past (looked like one of the normal CS ones) I saw about 10 photogs, 3 had the A99.
