Aiyah! Why don't u come back with some 15mm and 21mm CZ lenses? I'll grab them from u immediately!

And here's the normal mode:

(Similar to a shot taken by Ian LLoyd).

Wow nice colours.. did u do any tweaking or is that freshly minted out of the cam? :)

Fresh from the cam!
As mentioned earlier, all shots taken with CZ lenses requires no tweaking.

With Canon, very often I'll have to tweak the contrast and saturation a little to bring out the color. Not for Zeiss.

The light was very nice this evening. Can't resist and took a snap shot with the CZ zoom. And the colour of the image turns out equally nice too! :)

Hmm this one looks a little too orangy to me, ymmv though :) I might be picking up a CZ next wk, shall compare it to my nikon 105mm 2.5 for contrast ;)

rorouni

think it is the quality of light at sunset.
the lens is good and can pick out characteristic colour of light at dusk.
used CZ 25 before and it picked up the bluish quality of light against a white building. CZ lens can do this.

Haro.

Any1 know how much is the converter cost??

It is called the adapter which will allow u to mount Zeiss lenses to EOS body.
There are variuos types of adapters in the marketing, differing in prices.

It is akin to no-brand filter vs Hoya vs B+W filters. They come in different quality and features. In general, u get what u paid. U pay peanuts and u get monkeys.

I'll suggest that u get those with some kind of locking system to lock the adapter to the lens. Else u may get frustrated when u wanna change lens with the adapter being stuck in the camera body.

I'm using the one from DSLRx. Cost about $170. Customer service is first rate. I'm confident that if any of u ever loose the screw pin, u can be sure that u can get it replaced at negligeble cost. And users who had the ealier version has theirs upgarded at no cost!

Are you referring to the adapter to mount zeiss lens onto canon body? I'm now doing a mass order here:

http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=124882

S$70 for contax to eos.

hi PQ23,

Does your adapter allows quick swap? bcos, i have other lens to think about. Am going to buy one.

Hi weekh,

Could u post a pic of your adapter? thanks!

Hi Iria,

As mentioned in my mo, I've tried only the M42 & Nikon type, haven't tried the contax one yet, can't answer your question. So far I find the M42 & nikon very well made, fit tight and easily remove.

I prefer to have the locking pin too, unfortunately it doesn't have one. The supplier says it wouldn't drop off easily, but i've to try it personally to comment.

I agree with weekh totally, what you pay is what you get. It's individual, will you buy no brand, hoya or b+w filter?

Just a word of warning:
Some adapters without the stopper might cause damange to your camera electronic pins.

One with stopper costs $170 and one w/o merely costs $18!?! Can you explain to me how the stopper work? And how exactly one w/o can damage the electronic pins? Thanks!
