To answer Canonised's original question, I will not pay for such models. I will not shoot such models. In the perfect world, a test shoot/TFCD/TFP, either side is responsible for the expenses. So, I will not reimburse any of the model's out of pocket expenses.
Here in Singapore, seems like the photographer is expected to take on all the cost of such a shoot.

There are photographers who pay to shoot 'models'. And there are 'models' who would not mind paying the photographer to shoot her (or at the very least to cover the necessary expenditures).
So as a photographer, pro or no pro, anyone is free to decide which side of the see-saw he wishes to position himself.

This seems to be a current trend ..... usually something like this....
First, a young girl, and being the holiday season, decides to improve some photos in her friendsters/facebook's account, and decide to test her luck for free shots from some photographers and so post an invite thread here ....

then in no time her pm is all flooded with "serious" shooters within minutes .... and then the tone changed .....
"thanks for so many TFCD requests .... any paid shoots available ?".....
and the offers keep coming, and so the new tone is now ....

Just wondering ..... i am all for the reimbursement of expenses (transport/food/agreed items, etc) to the models, but how many of us are willing to pay for newbie models?
i don mind fork up my 10 SGD go ikea to buy a hug mirror for them to view their face everymorning ..before they start coming these remark of "charging".
if girl like nicole kidman or sharon stone or britney spear..i don mind even pay more.
if school girl........unless they come with big butt and bigg boobs.:kiss:
